  1. This post should be renamed 'Free English lessons for all!'
  2. BigRedX, I literally agree with every word you've written, and in my simple and somewhat less constructive way, you have said exactly what my original comment was trying to express! (in an albeit much more tongue-in-cheek manner!) To grammar and all its enemies!
  3. I knew as soon as I wrote that message that someone would pipe up with a similar response! Proper generation snowflake!
  4. Hi MTD KNOBS SOLD SEPARATELY SO NOW JUST THE PRE-AMP AND SPACERS ETC FOR £15 WITH POSTAGE!!! This pre-amp was made by Aries for the very rare Bajadera 6 string bass, I had it removed and replaced with a Noll 3 band active pre-amp when the bass simply stopped producing sound! While the bass was already undergoing restoration work with Mike Walsh (Zoot Basses) I decided just to replace it entirely and not have it fixed. So here it is, a unique active pre-amp made by Aries, it will need looking at but does come with all the right bits including the MTD Knobs, Jack input and various spacers. I'm asking £20 which will include free postage within the UK. For your interest below is a picture of the bass this pre-amp was originally made for. Cheers, Russ.
  5. I couldn't understand half of what I just read so sympathise with the woman from eBay!
  6. Maybe the other half has sunk into the floor?
  7. If only this was fretted!! A rare and stunning beast indeed....
  8. Yeah assumed it was Ovangkol. Still, a cracking bass.
  9. Is that a wenge neck?
  10. I would think that one of three things will/has happened... 1: They've already been snapped up. 2: They've been snapped up and will shortly be for sale again at thrice the price. 3: He's been told they're worth more and will be re-list at a higher price. We shall see! Hopefully one of us BCers will grab them and enjoy them!
  11. Messaged him on both. Will definitely be having these if its legit!
  12. I wouldn' touch it either but there is some value there... Got to be worth £30-£40 or so in various spare part at least.
  13. Sometimes... just sometimes you can find treasure in a Cash Converters. I found a Warwick Vampyre Through-neck in the Basildon branch, it was serial number 0001 which when discussed with Warwick turn out to be the very first Vampyre ever sold. It's a rare day, but sometimes you can find very interesting stuff.
  14. I know... it's a curious place to find such a beast. Very glad it has been put back into service, a Sei like this doesn't deserve to rot away in a corner!
  15. This was mine! Very glad to see it back up and running... I actually found this hiding in a dark corner of a cash converters of all places! Due to it having a small body and me having a big body it just would never look right on me! But I couldn't leave it to die in a freakin' cash converters!!! Glad you're happy with it Kevin! I'm more than happy with the Overwater.
  16. Very interesting indeed! Looks beautiful in its uniqueness.
  17. And the medal for longest title ever goes to......... Tony!!!!
  18. Cheap for one of these...
  19. Can't see any pickups of that brand name! Happy to stand corrected if they do exist.
  20. Hey all, I have a surplus to requirements White Precision Bass pick up, it comes with mounting screws, springs and postage included. Unsure of brand, doubt it's anything spectacular but it'll do for a project or cheap replacement! I'm sure it came from here a while ago... just going through a clear out and this can get cleared! £8 for it will do, postage etc. included. Russ.
  21. I love an ERB, and I love the body shape of the other MGbass you're selling... but this body shape confuses me greatly! Definitely a love it/hate it vibe going on here.
  22. Have that bass fretted and sent to my chambers... I must ask, what does Byl mean?
  23. They are Q-tuner pickups I believe... That's how they come. I had a pair of these in a 6 string concept bass I had a while ago... quite excellent as memory recalls! But I agree that maybe wood covers would suit better, but then I am a man who likes a good woody pickup cover!
