  1. What bass did you pick up?
  2. I literally looked yesterday at his Yamaha section and noticed the black bb1000’s had gone. Congrats. I wouldn’t mind one but tbh I want to finish off this bass before thinking of another.
  3. Heys peeps, I did a search here and didn’t see anything come up. who has used or is still using the Bartolini 8cbp p bass pickup and if so how are they and how do they compare to the 8s? thanks in advance
  4. Nice. No arguments then lol. You know the bass is a keeper when you put flats on them. That’s like the bass equivalent of marriage 🤣😂.
  5. Hey mate. I took to long and the bass went. Was a great price tbh. Funny enough I recently watched the Andy video. His a cool Kat.
  6. This is promising thanks. I will keep an eye out. I normally wait for Bassbros to get stuff in. ill pm you if I have more questions cheers
  7. Wow it was below 900 after all the customs and tax? I think you said you got it from the well know. Japanese music store.
  8. As you have a couple interested parties on the chromes, give first option to who reached out to you first. If that was me fine. If not no worries. If that makes sense.
  9. Hey what gauge is the chromes. Also how old are they? Maybe a better wording is how worn in are they lol
  10. So that is where the David Allen pickup went lol. beautiful bass my friend. I agree about the neck profile it’s really nice to play. GLWTS. I’ll keep an eye on this.
  11. Love the colour combo. I’ve a pulser 400 that weighs 4.4kg 9lbs 10. I don’t see it as an issue at all. Nice wide strap and you are good. The BB800 has a rosewood fretboard where as the BB1000 and BB2000 have ebony. Other than that the specs are the same of BB1000. GLWTS
  12. lol when i first saw the picture i thought the picture was at a angle. i never knew Yamaha did a double P. It feels like Yamaha is a rabbit hole. You get a gem then findout about another and then another. The cycle never stops
  13. Ive just went through all the 80's japanese catalogues and didnt see this. I only saw the BBVii. Was this bas a jap only product?
  14. Hey bb lovers. I wanted to get people view on the bb1000. How does the sound differ to a normal p bass. Say a fender or a Yamaha lawsuit copy? is the pickups hot? Does the reverse pickups make a noticeable sonic difference? I have a late 70’s Yamaha pulser p bass and have a opportunity to grab a bb1000. thanks in advance
  15. lol I check in regularly also. I was on grays inn road today and had to talk myself in not going to the store in fear of what I might leave with!🤣 last time I went the assistant told me it’s all or mostly commission sales. Tbh you have only a handful of online sellers that go to the detail of Andy who sales vintage stuff. You are right very few bass stores in London now. PMT near old street closed down permanently in December. I was eyeing a late 70’s fender p last summer but the seller installed Wilkinson pickups even though he gave them the originals🤷🏾‍♂️. Seemed like the seller didn’t want to pay for the gallery to switch them. the bass hasn’t moved for a while. I see why.
  16. it went up right after the podcast. wasn’t a fan of the colour, wasn’t me who took it.
  17. Oh nice. from dan a bass japan direct I only know Bacchus as a Japanese instrument company. I didn’t know they had done made outside Japan. Bacchus top end models is considered on par with Atelier, moon, dragonfly and momose. I may have missed some but these are frequently spoken about
  18. Really nice. What did you find these? Ive not info on them. Dan from bass japan direct will prob be your beat bet to find out more info tbh.
  19. I’ve watched this many times. Really great. Last year Nate did a show with Michael league on bass. Different vibe tbh. Nate with Wooten and Cory wong I’m a big fan of his lol
  20. yes Nate smith is special. I love his track “skip step”
  21. i was just about to say this lol
  22. I saw a bb1000 go for 500 recently so it’s hard to gauge. It’s the third tier model. BB1200, BB100 then BB800. Also depends on condition. hope that helps.
  23. Makes sense. I knew it looked familiar. GLWTS
