I was very much fancying a Euro 4 LX a few months back when the OP (aka The Greek) pointed me in the direction of a 1991 MIK NS-2A that was for sale on the forum. I love it. Fantastic build quality, wonderful neck and beautifully balanced - It’s a dream to play. From the first day I got it, it felt instantly comfortable. After years of playing Fender P’s and Stingrays I too was worried about the strap button over the 14 fret instead of the 12th, but I needn’t have worried. Even switching between the Spector and a P at gigs now is fine. If this is indicative of all Spectors, I’d highly recommend them.

Without wishing to hijack this thread, if you were wanting to try a Sandberg (a traditional P single pickup version) which model(s) would you go for? The range seems pretty baffling to me but I would like to try one for myself.

Any excuse to post a pic of my beloved 250 SMX. It doesn’t matter which class D heads I try (and some of them are pretty good), none of them come close to classic TE 😎

I have 2 pick guards for Ernie Ball MM Stingrays for sale. These are for single pickup Stingrays with the cut out for the truss rod wheel. First up, a black official MM one purchased from Thomann but never used. Still covered in it’s protective film and labels etc. £20 posted UK Next up, an aftermarket tortoise shell one in very good condition. Just some light scratches. £10 posted UK. I’ll make sure I’m not half asleep when I set my amp up next time 😂😂😂😂 For full disclosure, it appears that I somehow managed to press the standby button on my SMX sometime after trying my Aria and P but before trying the Spector. If I’d have press it again and played I’d have blown my windows out 😮🤪

Loved the Peavey TNT. I had a couple, a wedge type (bloody awkward to carry about) and a 150 with the Sheffield speaker. As has been said, bomb proof. Also old Trace gear. The best sound I ever had to my ears was my SMX going through a 1153 (1x15) and 2103 (2x10). I’d still use those cabs but for the size limitations of car boots etc. Last year I picked up a pair of these cabs and a 200 watt TE head for £90. I stinky poo ye not 😮 -
