Ah ok. There’s a lot of information on Talkbass on Aria SB basses but it may take some trawling through. Congratulations though. A lovely pair!
  2. @Al Krowbeat me to it. Every amp I've ever owned I've used both live and at home, including all my old Trace heads. I thought that's what the volume control was for.
  3. I was just wondering the same.

Only that the first digit indicates the year. Some info here: http://www.matsumoku.org/models/models.html
  5. These are great little amps and at this price truly a steal. Just a word of warning if you're planning on using it for home practice, the fan is very, very loud.
  6. Sold a pedal to Colin. Swift payment and great communication throughout some Christmas post delays! Many thanks again.
  7. Between 9 and 10lbs is my ideal although my Aria SB-R150 is almost 12lbs but so well balanced it doesn't feel that heavy. Any lighter than my Stingray Special (at 8lbs 6oz) is too light for me. EDIT - Although if my long lusted after Status came in at under that weight, I'd learn to live with it.
  8. I often wonder why they didn't consider putting tilt back wheels on these things. Crazy.
  9. Not too many of these about: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F293384198630
  10. Same here. I really don't feel comfortable with anything less. I can play them, but I'd much prefer not too. As far as fives go, Fender/Squier P's maintain the same spacing as the four. I also found Ibanez BTB fives comfortable as they keep the 19mm spacing too (35" scale is the only downside if you're looking for 34").
  11. Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray 3EQ I’m set on getting myself a Status (again) so I need to make room. I took this bass in a trade a couple of months back and although it is a stunning example of the breed, my Special can look after any future Stingray needs so last in first out. Original ad here: https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/359492-mm-stingray-ashflamed-maple-traded/?tab=comments#comment-3858282 It really is in beautiful condition and as someone who has had around a dozen or so Stingrays, this has one of the best necks/maple boards of any of them. As @desmondpot described it to me, it has that ‘spongy’ feel to it. Not at all harsh but lovely and smooth. Unlike many of the later unfinished necks this one has a beautiful satin sheen to it and some stunning markings in the maple both front and back. Manufactured Oct 1999 Natural gloss Maple neck Maple fretboard Matt black pickguard 3 EQ preamp Chrome hardware 43mm nut Weight approx. 9.5lbs Original G&G hard case (no keys) Collection preferred but would be willing to ship at buyers expense and to their insurance requirements. The only trade I may be interested in would be a Status 4 string plus cash your way (I have a wanted ad up at the moment so it would need to meet that spec: https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/388760-status-4-headed-s2s3cw-please-read-required-spec/). New photographs to follow tomorrow (if the sun decides to come out). In the meantime here are the pics from the original ad. New pics added EDIT - The photos seem a little unflattering with the string shadows on the fretboard, but please be assured it does have a lovely low action! 😂
  12. Well said @Stub Mandrel and my thoughts exactly. A great resource for this thing we love called bass but also a safe harbour in which to escape life's day to day trials and tribulations.
  13. I’m sure @TheGreek has/had one of this era. Last range of the Gibson ownership period I believe, but I could be completely wrong!
  14. That sounds like a later model to the ones I’m more familiar with but throughout the years and different ranges, the famous/infamous Trace pre-shape should cut the mids giving you a scooped sound, not boost them. Some models have 2 pre-shapes with pre-shape 1 being the mid cut and pre-shape 2 being a more solid, thumping your chest kind of rock tone. Either way you really must post a photo of it, it’s the law around these parts 😁 Edit - doh, I obviously can’t type quickly enough. Like @PaulWarning says, could be disengaging.
  15. On hold pending the usual Now sold thanks
  16. ‘Tis lovely. What are the controls/EQ on this particular version?
  17. Tech 21 VT Bass - £55 posted I’d describe this as well used (battered). I bought it like this off the forum a few years back and since then it’s been sat on my board rarely used. It still has velcro on the bottom and although scratched to hell it operates perfectly with no bent pots or other horrors. The only fault other than the scratches is that the battery compartment door is broken i.e. it won’t latch closed. It hasn’t been an issue to me as I’ve always used it through a One-Spot power supply and one of the Velcro strips runs over the battery door anyway (which is how I broke it – taking it off my board) . Price includes postage to mainland GB.
  18. Zoom B3 and PSU - £75 posted Great multi-effects unit with amp simulations and looper complete with original Zoom power supply unit and box. You will require an A/B printer type USB cable to connect it to your PC/laptop (not included). Here’s a link to the Zoom site: https://www.zoom.co.jp/products/bass/b3-bass-effects-amp-simulator-pedal#overview There’s velcro on the bottom and some very light, superficial scratching on the screen but nothing nasty. The only real fault is that it no longer works on batteries. Never an issue for me as I’ve always used it with either the included original PSU or through a One-Spot power supply. Unit has been reset to factory settings so it’s all ready to go. Price includes postage to mainland GB.
  19. I was just thinking that myself
  20. That's a great bass. Loving the idea of the rotary switch. GLWTS
  21. I keep having to remind myself of this. I don't need any more TE heads but when you see them going for peanuts it almost seems criminal not to buy them. 😕
  22. Not sure if this has been posted already, apologies if it has. Not quite my thing but interesting all the same. https://idogomusic.com/bass-synth-pedal-line-6/

    Which Helix?

Nice one, that's where I ordered mine from.
  24. Beautiful bass. Am I correct in thinking that these reissues have the more conventional neck dimensions (i.e. 42/43mm nut and standard 19mm string spacing at the bridge) similar to the original R and Elite series?
