    Yes I usually use 10's for acoustic but I've put some Martins on and they feel awful. Not a Nylon man at all though I suppose they could feel softer, hmm

    Hi all. I'm taking up guitar again, I've only played 12 strings for most of my life but now the arthritis has mostly stopped that so I'm looking for a 6 string electro acoustic to play about with. I have an Epiphone Hummingbird but it feels cheap and I'm not getting along with it but the thrust of this is about strings. Because I take heart drugs that reduce the blood flow to my finger ends they get very painful playing guitar, now years ago there was a brand that made what I would call 'soft' strings. They had silk wound in them but I don't recall what they were called? Does anyone know of any make of strings that have a soft feel to them please? thanks for any help. tom.
