3. Novel suggestion, how about a straight swap for an immaculate 1996 Centenary Gibson Gospel acoustic, made in Montana with built in factory fitted acusound pick up and tone control. Unmarked instrument and that classic Gibson sound with OHSC I'm in Yorkshire as well !!!

 7.
So this is a rare wee beast and I can imagine not too many of you guys have seen one of these in the wild! Fender Bassman 20 Bass combo Hand wired PTP tube head 1 X 15 sealed speaker cabinet 2 X 6L6 2 X 12AX7 (OR 7075'S I think Fender called them) £400 and thats pretty set Im afraid rated about 18watts but puts out somewhere around the 30-35 mark when cranked. Fender USA cira 1984 - actually it has to be 1984 as only about 580 of these were made during that year when Paul Rivera was working at Fender. Its got that great tube tone at lower volumes and will kick out SVT like grit through a Marshall 4x12. I've used this for home practice, jamming with singer songwriters and its great for those smaller gigs and acoustic nights when you just don't need your 4x10 and 6U rack. The 1x15 pumps out a nice full tone. Before I got it it lived in a studio where it was the go to amp for recording guitar and bass and at a recent rehearsal with a new band the guitarist hooked it up to her 4x12 and cursed me that a bass player should have this amp when its such a great guitar tone. This is not one of the new Fender Bassman amps and needs more playing than I can give it. Plus tha cash will go towards some new toys. Hate to see it go ask its my practise amp but needs must. So much gear so little time....... Get in touch and I'll answer what I can. Im not after any trades unless you have an Aguilar DB 680 hiding under your bed you don't use. Thanks for reading Vitamin G Hi If still for sale very interested where are you? John
8.
Hi all, Bought this off this very forum from the fine Dr.Dave of this parish, however I need a few spare quid after the rather rash purchase of another fretted and I simply can't play well enough to warrant keeping it! The details: Jaco 'Tribute' bass of unknown vintage, but with a very nice sunburst and super-comfy lined fretless neck. 'Fender' logo fitted and lacquered over Second string tree added USA Fender P'ups and electronics added Badass Bridge added Scratchplate added Condition: I've tried to take photos showing the 'relicd' nature of the bass - I'm not sure how much came from gigging etc and how much is inflicted but it really looks the part and is NOT over-done (in my opinion). The bass was recently taken to a pro as the truss rod had seized, he has managed to free it so all is now well on that front. A new set of Elites have been fitted too (roundwound). There are some marks from strings on the fretboard as is common. So, pics: Shipping: I'd rather ship this neck-off, but it you wanted it posted as is, I'd recommend we try to find you (me) a hardcase to ship it in, contact me for details on that score. Actual postage cost will be in the region of £12-15 via UPS. So, how much then? I'm asking for £150 + postage which is really what the bass owes me, and at that price it's a bargain and could easily be parted-out for that much and you'd turn a profit. It's a shame to do that though as it's a gorgeous looking thing with many gigs left in it! Paypal welcome, but you pays the fees! Collection especially welcome and i'll pop the kettle on (Stevenage or St Albans). Cheers, James
9.
Temporarily on hold!
If it doesn't sell please let me know, Im in E Yorkshire so collection pretty easy..........also how about a Marshall Super Bass 100 from late 70/s early 80's very loud. I have 2 and 1 is a spare that I never use. John

 20. My very little used, unmarked PJB combo with manual is available as I am reducing my "collection". £525 AND I CAN DELIVER TO MOST LOCATIONS FOR £25 You know you want it !!!! Believe it or not I would consider a p/ex for a good pedal steel !!!!
 21.
Ahh, what an excellent choice of basses. And influences of course. I generally use an EB3 live too. What's your favourite out of the ones you listed?
The cherry EB3 is my absolute favourite and the one that gets the most comments on my bass sound. Th SG Supreme is more versatile and I use it on anything non Andy Fraser/Jack Bruce based numbers, and if I take either the Les Paul or the Fender Jazz they get used on Bad Co and Zeppelin songs. Rarely do I take all 4 but it has been known !!! Good to know there are still some Gibson Bass lovers out there !!! John
 22. Guys Get down to The Diamond Inn in Ponteland near to Newcastle Airport on Saturday 21st February to see The Proper Boys Check out our website www.theproperboys.co.uk I'm the bass player and without bias can guarantee you a good night out !!! johnbiffa
 23. Hi Everyone Just discovered the site and well impressed ! I am an ex pro player of many years currently playing in a Heritage Rock Band which allows me to indulge my passion for Andy Fraser. Check out www.theproperboys.co.uk I gig with a 61 Gibson EB3, a 2007 SG Supreme Reissue Bass, a 95 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Bass and a 77 Fender Jazz. My rig is an old Marshall stack with a Super Bass 100 kicking out some serious volume through the two 4x12s.......the authentic sound for sure. I carry a spare Super Bass 100 as back up but never had the need to use, these things are like tanks. For studio work I use a PJB Suitcase combo and occasionally use EBS, Dynaverb, Chorus, Overdrive, Compressor and Octave pedals. I also play guitar and have a Gibson Custom Shop 336, a USA Telecaster and a selection of Gibson and K Yairi acoustics. Have just returned from Nashville and have an irresistable urge to learn to play Pedal Steel. Influences are Andy Fraser, Kenny Gradney (Little Feat), Chuck Rainey and Jack Bruce (weird assortment I know) johnbiffa
 24.
Hi all, I'm a bit new to this, so forgive any etiquette breaches...anyway, I am selling my very lovely 1969 Gibson EB2.....c/w hard case. It's in pretty good nick for it's age, plays well, sounds great. Apologies for the vagueness on price, but I genuinely have little idea as to its 'market' value. I'm in Brighton btw. Enjoy the pics, and do drop me a line if you're interested. UPDATE....Not sure if this helps, but I've done a video of the eb2; may give a better view on the finish and condition. Here's the URL: eb2 video
Im new to Bass Chat so apologies if you have already sold, is the EB2 still available?
