2. I hate any kind of rattle or even sizzle of strings on frets. I find the tone is definitely preferable when there is some air between the string and the neck and body.
 3.
It'll be VAT @ 20% on the total plus the shipping agents fee to process the VAT which'll probably be another £10
... and import duty which is (IIRC) 3.9% and goes on before the VAT.
 4. Nice painting but shouldn't he be right handed?
 5. The Squier Classic Vibe Jazz is basswood. Mine was just over 9lbs. Tone was fine, especially with pickups upgraded to Wizards.
 6.
I'd say somebody got a bit of a bargain.
Yes, I think so. Except for not having any money, I would have happily paid in excess of £1045.
 7. Sold for £1045 - I thought it would be more like £1300.
 8. ... and me. Flats on everything, although not all the same kind. Even flats on an ABG.

 10. La Bella Deep Talkin' Flats 760FX have orange/terracotta silks. They are extra light 39-56-77-96. Does that sound convincing?
 11.
Think they could be La Bella Deep Talkin Flats. I 've recently fitted some to my G&L Tribute L2000, they have the same terracotta coloured threads and they sound awesome
Which Deep Talkin's have terracotta? 760FL = red 760FS = black 760M = blue 760N = purple
 12.
Looks like it was withdrawn by the seller. The last one I saw on ebay went for £2500 which is more than they are new, so maybe he had second thoughts about the price. If it'd been down here I would've bitten his hand off at that price
Withdrawn and then relisted and sold BIN for £1500. 13.
But I rarely play above the third fret
Very wise.
 14.
Thats the first time I've heard a RA Mouse and I have to say it sounds wonderful. Not sure I could cope with a 30" scale length though
It's only like tuning down to C# and then not playing below the third fret.
 15.
one problem and a question. i would actually like to know how you would adjust the rod. anyone know?
I really can't see why you would think there's a problem in adjusting the truss rod. I would adjust it in the normal way. I suspect Rob Allen supplies truss rod allen keys but I don't see why you would think an ordinary one won't fit. Whether or not 30" scale improves low end might well be a value judgement made differently by different individuals. However, a shorter scale usually means more fundamental note and less overtones.
 16.
i have one problem with the bass. where do you find an allen key the will reach under the fretboard overhang and into the truss access? it has to be over an inch and you obviously wouldn't get the long end of a key in there. ?? also since when did a short scale improve low end? nice bass though.
That's two problems.
 17.
Very rarely see these come up for sale. Bidding already quite high (nearly £800) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ROB-ALLEN-MOUSE-30-B...#ht_2030wt_1141
I've been watching that since Wednesday and I don't suppose I'm the only one.
 18.
Just made a phonecall, but couldn't reach him. I'll get back to you as soon as I know.
OK thanks
 19.
I really think it's easy to remove or move them. 'My' local luthier did put them on without any problems. If you're really interested I can ask hem to remove them if you like. Please let me know. Kim
How were they done? Was it drilled and then filled or are they merely stuck on the surface?
 20.
Don't have the money to buy it, so feel free not to answer. But what is it? Never seen a bass like this before - do you play it upright or like a guitar?
Here's one being played: It also has an end-pin if you want to play it upright.
 21.
They are placed between the frets (I chose for that position, because personally I prefer them there)
Ok, thanks. I would have been interested but I'd be uncomfortable with that arrangement.
 22.
Dots are placed (professional) on the side of the neck.
The first dot looks too close to the nut to be at the first 'fret'. Are the dots placed on or between the 'frets'?
 23.
you want me to drive all the way to dundee AND only cash on collection or bank transfer ? 1110681310198 on fleabay
eBay says 'Your search returned 0 items' for that number. Give us a clue as to what it is.
