  1. Mine is a Korean made one, it’s very light in weight, has a low action, stays in tune. Has a killer B string. It can be strung through the body or the bridge. This will be a cracker of a bass for someone, ( especially at the new price) looking for 1st 5 string bass.
  2. I’m not entirely sure if I’m going to attend. As I’ll be away on my hols. I do return on the night of the 1st March. If I’m not working on the 2nd, I’ll put in an appearance.
  3. I agree great basses, i have one of these, it has lovely full sounding B string & mine is light in weight too.
  4. Toto Birmingham BP Pulse live arena 2nd Feb
  5. The wheel adjustment, was stopped after the Elite series. The wheel adjustment isn’t on the Ultra series.
  6. Lucky man to have 3 of these pass through your hands
  7. Mmmmmm I’m currently drooling over this. Just recently purchased a Jazz Elite V, if this is still here ( which I very much doubt ) in the new year, you may get a pm from me. What weight please ?
  8. It’s positively drool in’ over this. Just like the one I had, apart from the badass bridge. Mine had the black neck to match the body
  9. Sorry to hijack this post. I used to own a Japanese Fender Jazz Bass Special too, ala Duff’s model, mine had the selector switch, Black hardware, headstock & neck, with a Black body. I believe it was the original version, as far as I can remember, mine was purchased in 86. The model for sale on this thread came out slightly after, with a sleeker body shape, different pick ups & tuning posts. Duff had changed out the original pickups for Seymour Duncan’s
  10. Oh blimey !!!!! That is a beauty, the colours on the Stingray Specials, do look good. They are great basses, with some excellent features. …….i feel a bit of G.a.s coming on !!!!!
  11. Yeah!!!! There’s some lovely colours amongst that bunch.
  12. What a great story. Rekindling a lost love, only to find her again, as beautiful as ever & with your old hiscox case, certificate & documentation too. Can’t beat it.

  14. Oh wow !!!!! She sure looks beautiful
  15. Lovely basses these are. If I didn’t already have 2 of these, one with the roasted maple neck & one with natural maple neck. I would’ve been all over this. Glwts
  16. Very sad & sorry to read this. Passing on my Best wishes to his family & friends

  18. Oh my……I’m positively droolin !!!!!!! She’s a babe
  19. That's what's frustrating me. As 4 of my 5 basses have EMG's & I'd be worried about the slow response should I need help.
  20. I've been using EMG's for approx 25yrs & luckily I've never had any problems, so luckily I've never needed to contact their CS. But I have noticed that its always been cheaper to buy them from the States than buy from the Uk, even with taking delivery into account.
  21. Hi JPJ, Would be interested to hear how you got on with the adjustments that you made & the differences in sound that it made. As I'm an Swr user & will be rehearsing with a new band. The chances are that I will have to use an Ashdown amp in the rehearsal room.
