I am trying to sort an issue with an electric upright I bought recently. It has an incessant buzz over most of the fingerboard and after checking [i]everything[/i] else, suspicion points to the strings. I can't afford to buy a set just to see whether the old ones are screwed, but an old set, or even just an old string, known to be in working order, even unpleasant and toneless working order, would at least let me know whether a new set will be worth the cost, or if there are more serious problems I need to look for. If anyone has any dead, dirty, or otherwise wasted strings, so long as they definately don't buzz of thier own accord, I will be able to save them from the bin. Hope you can help! Cheers, Andy
