  2. Having a clear out due to having too many filters and not enough room all great filters with a very individual sound seamoon funk machine -£150 Earthquaker devices spatial delivery- £135 Mu-tron micro-tron III - £175 all boxed with manuals (single sheet of paper) and price includes post
  3. Thanks for the info! just having a look at what’s available on evil bay and other such places
  4. Good morning i have several effects, lots of filters, compressor, octave, wah. But occasionally I’m wanting chorus, phaser, delay etc, so thinking about bursting in a multi fx to fill the gap for those less used, but sometimes essential effects I have noticed a lot of love for for budget zoom fx such as MS 60-B and then there is the option of a boss box only ever had one of these and that was a digitech BP-8 when they first came out which is probably in the 90’s sometime, I think Thanks Tony
  5. Fwonkbeta! I'm having a filter clearout this week, need another amp so three have got to go to help the purchase Also, like me, who has a save search on ebay called "envelope filter"? I need to delete it as its getting expensive Tony
  6. The SB-2 has had my attention for a while, not heard anything bad about them, always positive but just bought something else so will have to wait ! Tony
  7. Always good to know i sent message this morning, will have this if it’s still available
  8. I skipped over a lot of this thread, some good links in it ive always listened to reggae, always have a few reggae lines in my head, have recorded a few but more recently decided to work out getting the drums right for recording in logic i followed some really good tutorials on youtube by Dancetech, started with a one drop beat that I’ve edited a bit and saved as a template for future use and then created a few others with different variations what was good was getting into using the dotted eight delays on aux sends for separate tracks such as the snare or guitar to create a nice dub effect, it took some time to get the automation right to get the right effect with muting tracks once the delay is triggered, but all fairly easy it’s worked really well for me and I ended listening to a whole load of dub tracks with a far better understanding of how it is all put together! can highly recommend Dancetech if you are looking at recording reggae ad want to create the right sounds and Rhythms Tony
  9. Thanks for the reply, I was aware of some of that! I had an original and one of the 90’s reissues sometime in the 90’s also had a meatball at one point, but that’s a different animal I have this sat waiting to go on my board
  10. How many modern mu tron variants are there?
  11. I’ve never considered doing an online course, but with lockdown I’m thinking I might try one i keep seeing the Federico Malaman course being advertised, anybody tries this one? cheers Tony
  12. I have a micro tron III that hasn’t been used much yet, will hopefully have some views on that later this week
  13. I’ve just got a fwonkbeta, not had much chance to dig into it yet due to getting a j-retro for my jazz, which has kept me occupied for the weekend first impressions are good though, really rich sound there has been a few on eBay and Anderson’s have them down at £149 with stock due in this week Tony
  14. I looked at the CTM 300 when I was in my originals band, tried one at PMT in Salford, big sound, great amp! Tony
  15. I like that! Be interesting to see what U.K. price is im guessing around £325? To knee

  17. I’m other side of the canal! monton seriously thinking about another MK, got a class D amp should I ever get out of the house with my gear, so a regular analogue amp would be nice and because I can! ive had an MK and a JJ, the JJ moved on when I got my Aguilar DB750. The MK was a few years later when I downsized all my gear when I hit 50, that eventually made way for a Genzler mogadon! The JJ came from ashdown and was one of JJ’s actual amps, all black, no rat logo. It was bought by a stranglers fan I’ll hang on for now and see what comes up Tony
  18. Regarding the MK I won on ebay that never was.... I suggested the seller gives me a partial refund so I could then get the amp to ashdown to be sorted, but he gave me a full refund @ bassbunny is it yours that is for sale? Altrincham? @La bam, yes I saw the new version, a bit rich for me as this is a second amp for me. My two 2x10's are in different places in the house, one in the lounge and one on the third floor where we have created a "music room" so wanted another amp so I don't have to keep moving my Genzler (it's a big house) I've had an MK before and also a JJ! Good amps and I like what they do I used the JJ amp with two aguilar 4x10's once, just before I got my aguilar DB, huge sound! Photo below Tony
  19. I missed out on an mk500 last night was described as perfect, once I paid, the seller mentioned a few defects and gave me a refund to be fair, I don’t think he had used it for a while it was the PI version, so fairly rare! I still need another amp, really wanted an mk as I’ve had one before, but not many around, so might give a retro glide a go! Tony
