  4. Big screen soon, it’s a bit further down the list compared to a few other things, but have seen a few bargains on eBay, so might be sooner than planned

  7. This has slowly been coming together over the last few weeks! The new focusrite 2i2 arrived today, upgraded from gen 2 solo, still some way to go to get it how I want it! Need a monitor for my mac for starters, the novation SL is great but it’s keeping me on an old OS, which isn’t a big deal, but may look for another controller next year, the behringer x-touch is on my radar, then I can take auto map off and use the novation just as a keyboard Still need to paint skirting board and get something on the floor, but the dog likes it! And there will be a further addition tomorrow, update when I sort it! Tony

    Compressor

Well, after playing bass for over forty years, I’ve had a compressor on my board for the last few weeks and it’s been something of a revelation for me as I’ve never owned one before I’ve used compression during recording, but never had a pedal I might get shot down for this, but I’ve always had what some would call an “old school” belief that it should all come from the fingers and compressors are just there to tidy up, untidy playing! I've borrowed a TC hypergravity off a guitarist mate and it will have to go back soon, so now thinking about investing! i was just playing along to Chaka Khan, hello happiness and switched it in, works really well on a line like that! Tony

  20. Followed by clear gloss nitro laquer light sanding and then a polish, didn’t take much as the paint went on really well its not perfect but I am more than happy with it i still have to get the wiring sorted, I put the bridge on without putting the ground wire through, doh! And the jack is tricky to fit, it needs to go in first and go right through the hole so the circuit board clears it, then it can be pushed back to the correct position I’ve then got some soldering to do, hopefully up and running tonight with a fresh set of Dunlop super brights on it, which do work well on MM basses, in my opinion! Tony
  21. Sonic blue nitro cellulose
