1.
I can tell you where my SG Std. Walnut Bass is. Guitar Center. I returned it for a really good priced Am. Spl. Precision.
Thought you were stuck on SG's, what was up with it? I would like one of the nitro gloss heritage cherry reissues if one comes up for a reasonable price
2. Yep second hand ideally, can everyone check down the back of the sofa please? Unless you live in the North West there seems to be a bit of a mini glut there :-/
3. A month ago they seemed to be two a penny .... but I didn't want one then ........ but now I do there is not a lot ! Where are they hiding? Are they with the busses, teaspoons and pens down the back of the sofa !????
4. Where have all the SG's gone, there was a glut and now virtually fur call !
5. Where are you based?
6.
Really like the look of these, surprised there is no interest as yet! GLWTS.
Indeed ! back up to the top
7. I have a Sandberg Electra bass in Tobacco sunburst, in excellent condition, lovely to play, good action, slim neck and only weighs about 8lbs so very comfortable to play, comes complete with a quality Sandberg gig bag (these basses don't actually come with a gig bag) ..... just fancy a change as I have a USA Fender P-Bass and that does the job.
8. Matt is over at Banks Musicroom in York so not too far for you to pop in, drop him a PM
9. Tried some cream ..... still won't go away ! I mustard-mitt the neck dive is not a concern for me, just fancy something different to the P-Bass but usable with pop, rock, classic rock, indie, bit-o-everything but fun to play too !
10. I had the 'first edition' of the Highway One Jazz, excellent in every way (although I just don't get on with Jazzes), £450 is the top end of what I would pay though nearer £400 would be nearer the mark that I would pay though.
11. Yep saw that bargain of the week ! Although I must try before I buy
12. I have an insatiable itch for a Gibson SG Bass ! why I do not know, I play Fender P and Thunderbird bass maybe its the thought of wearing shorts? Anyhoo if anyone wants to talk me into or talk me out of it then lets 'ave it ! Good, bad or ugly that is the question ?
13. Active all the way ! we use DB Opera 2 x Tops and 2 x Subs but was also have 2 more identical tops that we use as floor monitors, this is our insurance policy if a top fails then a monitor replaces it, if a Sub fails then we still have one, if both subs fail we still have tops so still OK it .... we would have to be very VERY unlucky to have enough speakers fail to stop us (fingers crossed) this setup is driven quite hard about 50 gigs a year for 3 years so far without problems - FYI we use 4 x DB Opera Live 405's and 2 x Sub 15D's thru a Yamaha MG16/6FX desk ...... works a treat !
14. Hi can I take these please PM me your paypal deets please
15. Thats deffo a pussy puller, proof in the picture !
16. Not opened up my cab and agreed the handles are in a silly position, how about a strap style handle or an Ampeg style 'towel rail' style handle as each wouldn't require invasive surgery to attach?

19. I'm sick to the stomach that I cant afford this Xmas bargain and its only down the road too in Boxeddy stomping ground too ..... Festive good luck bump for ya !
20. Love Kings-X and nice to hear an 8 string played on a normal song without the widdling and the 'ooh I sound like a sitar' rubbish .... now if that doesn't make you MUST have an 8 string nowt will !
21. You can get a Dean quite easily for reasonable money, I have played the Rhapsody in 8 and 12 string and loved both to play. I used to play a Shergold Marathon 8 string and it sounded amazing .... GET AN 8 OR 12 STRING ... JUST DO IT
22. Just go out and try them yourself, ive got the T-Bird (love it) and until recently had a Ric but everyones comments differ so much plus some are just plain wrong you'd be better off making up your own mind
23. I currently play a Gibson Thunderbird in a classic rock covers band and it sound superb. I have tried using my Fender P-Bass and it does not even come close to getting a punchy gritty growl .... when you try one you will be surprised how light they are too, neck not too chunky and the neck dive or lack of really is not and issue .... I also had a Ric for a couple of years, not as comfortable and wide neck might be an issue for some, harder work to get a great sound but one you have it dialed they are spot on. Used T-Birds are reasonable cheap-ish too, Ric's not so ! ....................... Unleash your inner rock god with a 'Bird :-)
