    One of the guys on here CETERA playes in a KISS tribute band Dressed to Kill and they have played for various members including Gene Simmons and even played with some ex members on stage ! If there was an issue you'd expect Gene Simmons to be at the front of the que with his hand out : )

    Whats happened to the Sandberg Electra range, I've not seen one anywhere and also not seen many comments from people who actually have one ! They had an buzz about them before they were released but now nothing, also not seen a used one come up in the market place either .... I guess the only argument is that a new Electra is around the price of a used 'proper' Sandberg orrrrrrrrrr is it that the lack of decent colours available? Turdburst isnt too everyones taste ! Would still like to try one though

    Would it actually make any difference which way? What did you decide and why? I have a similar quandry in that I have a USA Fender S1 P-Bass and I am struggling to get decent output form the G string I've lowered the E/A side and raised the G as high as it will go and dropped the D side slightly .... I aslo swapped the two halves over as I was convince that one half was slightly more powerful than the other ! Anyhoo any comments or advice appreciated ta

    I bought a superb MIM-P for £250 last year, seems to be the going rate. £300+ and it will hang around

    Pick ups are often taken at face value and sometimes might not be what you think they are. As they generally look the same from the front you could easily change them and no one would be any the wiser ! The P-Bass I have sounds great but find the output uneven accross the strings, I've tilted the pups to compensate but still not great. so was going to change the strings and also have a look at the pups to make sure they are what they should be but ... how do I know ?

    Hi I have a 2005 Fender S1 USA Precision Does anyone know how to identify and check if the pickups in there are genuine Fender ie. the ones that should have come with the bass ? Are there any identifying marks, numbers or shape etc on the reverse that will confirm these are the actual pups originally fitted? Cheers, Ade

    I've just aquired one same as this but in Chrome Red, very very nice, the rolled edges on the neck are to die for !

    1-2mm but they are rounded on the edges so they are not the skin and finger tip that they used to be on the older MM Basses
