  1. 99.9% of the time Basschat is a good place
  2. Ongoing clear-out means this lovely thing is also on its way. Heavily reliced, routed for P/J, battery compartment in the back, but man, it's lovely. Loaded with Jason Lollar P/J set, Kiogon harness (with micro switch for PUP switching), and a Gotoh VTB-4 bridge. Neck is NOT included. Please ask if you need photos of any specifics Cheers Chris
  3. More stuff from my studio. Bit retro now, it will work as a standalone mixer, and if you know what you're doing with the tech, there are plenty of workarounds to get it working with current software/hardware. Selling it because I generally do not know what I'm doing
  4. I think it's very genre specific, arguably a defining year for the mellower end of hip hop, some early indicators of indie and Britpop to come, a pretty bad year for rock (although that all changed on September 24th the following year), but terrible year for pop, although part of me has a sneaking liking for Van the Man
  5. Clearing out a lot of stuff that has amassed in my studio. This does what it says on the tin
  6. Having a clear-out of unused studio gear. Built like a brick s*******e, big, solid, heavy, lovely to look at. Some would say it's a work of art
  7. Having a clear-out of gear that's not getting used. I have an RME rack version and this unit probably hasn't been used in a year, and no more than 100 hours in total before that. Great unit, easily portable also. I have all the original cables and packaging somewhere also, they will be included Cheers Chris
  8. It all started so well
  9. Tribe Called Quest
  10. Some very very good people here, and yes, not all the good stuff gets into feedback. Couple of members have shown real kindness recently, and it’s much appreciated. I won’t mention their names as it would probably embarrass them, but thanks guys. Chris
  11. For some reason 1990 reminds me of Alice Cooper?
  12. A lot of cheaper bass gear sounds better than we expect. It's often the expectations that are at fault
  13. Either works for me mate
  14. Buddy likes a growly tone
  15. I reckon that if enough of us took our respective hounds to the next Bass Bash, the chorus of disapproval might drown out even the most determined of slappers
  16. Happy birthday Phil, I enjoy reading your stuff on here, and if it’s recordings of uncompressed dynamically unstable bass playing you’re after, I’m your man
  17. Buddy more a Snoop Dog kinda guy
  18. Compression might help your neighbours, an all tube low wattage head likewise (Ampeg PF-20 for example), and as above a high pass filter, especially if you’ve a harmonic rich tone to start with
  19. That looks expensive
  20. The only other thing he appears to hate as much as slap bass is the garden hose with which, simply by moving towards it, i can regulate his behaviour significantly. Slap bass might just become the indoor equivalent. I might establish a new school of dog training based on the works of Miller et al
  21. I tend to agree
  22. You’re on good form tonight Ped
