@Linus27 I've not played this combination before, but it works really rather well. It's hard to say whether it's the board, the neck, the action, or just the way it's working as a mechanical system but the first thing I noticed was that compared to the maple boarded neck on the same body, it brings a really quite beguiling compression to the note (I'm playing unplugged BTW), and I'm quite enjoying it 👍

Rehearsed it again last night, set of La Bella Deep Talkers, action raised a little and PUP lowered and it was glorious (although PUP is slightly noisy I guess that goes with the SC territory). An advantage of the madly long neck is that I found I can use the very end of it as a thumb rest, and in doing so can play right over the PUP which is my preferred style, so that problem might be solved 👍

We rehearse an entire album for three months, gig it once, and then move on to another album. We never gig an album twice, it's against the rules. Odelay by Beck at the moment, and jeez I feel for the keys player. And the drummer. And the guitarist

Bodies...... Top three, no idea, generic swamp ash although nice (top left is heavy). Prices Body 1 (£200) Body 2 (£100) SOLD Body 3 (£300). Bottom three Warmoth (£225), Mighty Mite (£100), 70's Daion (£250). If I were to make a recommendation Body number 4 with neck number 1 (lovely lightweight dark wood Precision Body number 5 with neck number two (stealth fretless Precision) Body number 6 with neck number 3 (monster Entwistle-sque Precision) Body number 3 with neck number 5 (fretted Mighty Mite jazz width although logog says Precision) or with neck on it, no name Maple fretless. I'll photo the above combinations ASAP, apologies this is a bit chaotic but two quite expensive things I've been after for a while, one bass-related and one not (🤔) have come up out of the blue 👍

So, what I'm going to produce later today is the Beedster Analogue Configurator. While the title suggests a retro pedal, it will in fact be a collection of photographs of various combinations of necks, bodies, pickguards etc. Those with low impulse control/easily parted with their cash, should avoid this thread for around 7-days 👍

Second..... nitro finished swamp ash Jazz body with FL Precision neck (brand unknown, was sold to me as Allparts many moons ago, then went to another BCer - @oldslapper IIRC - before finding its way back to me, a not uncommon take), PUPs are SD SJB1s, again I've kept them together because they work together, but happy to split: Bass £450, loaded body £325, neck £175 NECK SOLD

EDIT: I've deleted all the early photos of items that have sold, please check from page 4 onwards for what's left 👍 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ As per the bitsa thread, too many unfinished basses, not enough time, so here goes (I'll be adding stuff over the next day or two, if you want more photos of anything please ask). I'm pretty much emptying this box....... First up, Warmoth roasted swamp ash body with lightly oiled finish, plus very high spec Warmoth Precision neck (you can see the stunning flame in the abve photo, third bass from the left). I've kept them together because they work and fit extremely well plus both are very lightweight to the point that I would strongly suggest a set of lightweight tuners on this bass when built. All that's required are PUP and circuit. This will build into a stunning instrument. £500 for the neck and body or neck £325 and body £225
