  2. I gave up alcohol many years ago, and have only started gigging the last year or so. It's always iced water for me. I like to be hydrated when I'm jumping around and enjoying playing. Afterwards, it's just tea.
  3. Pretty much new. These were fitted to my P bass for a few weeks, but the .105 gauge isn't for me. I likely still have the original packaging. Price is delivered anywhere UK mainland.
  4. I bought another Ric
  5. Yeah, I'm kinda in 4 now 🙃
  6. Bass ( just the neck maybe? ) looks like it was finished in Week 17 of 1974: 22nd - 29th April. Inspection was the week after.
  7. Bang on my bitth year also!
  8. Hi, New dude here from Thurso in the Highlands. Playing around 5 years now. Just turned 49 years old. I'm well late to the party ! Gear: 2006 Fender Precision MIA 2008 Fender Jazz Standard MIA 1964 Hofner 500/1 - Bit of a case queen this one nowadays 2016 Hofner 500/1 Ignition Le Marquis N.Y Jazz - Year unknown Peavey Zephyr - For sale Owned a Ric 4001 for a few years, but ultimately fell out of love with it as my playing changed. That one went a few weeks ago. I'm in 3 bands, but in all honestly, I'm not a huge fan of playing in front of people. Maybe it's a confidence thing, or it's because I'm a massive introvert. That said, I do greatly enjoy playing 🙂 Cheers
  9. More herd thinning.. I've owned this bass a few years now, but it's just not getting the use it deserves. 90's ( unsure exactly what year ) Peavey Zephyr passive 4 string. Professionally set up and fitted with XL Roundwounds. A lovely double octave bass, it plays really well with a nice low action. There really isn't a mark on it, and it's been well looked after over the years. Electrics seem fine, albeit there's a very slight scratching at the top of giving the bridge volume full send. This is a very slight sound, and not really noticeable at all. The bass gigs well, and has a good punchy tone. I think the soapbars are Humbuckers. I've no idea what wood the body is made from, but it's not a super heavy bass. No hard case, but padded Peavey gig bag is included. I could courier it in a cardboard box, with packaging and protection done to the best of my ability. Probably around £20 to UK mainland via Parcelforce. Feedback is available under my username Cheers
  10. Bought a lovely Jazz bass from Nigel. The transaction was super smooth, and delivery prompt. I'd not hesitate to buy from Nigel again. A splendid and honest chap 😀
  11. Spot on Peter, many thanks !
  12. Hi mate, Holy thread revival, but did you ever get this sorted ? I have the same bass amongst others. Cheers, George
