Hi - do you happen to know / can you find the weight? Also, does it have a 'F' decal on the headstock face? Could well be interested if it's not too heavy - cheers

Luggage scales (non-digital) say 4kg but not sure how accurate they are - it's certainly nothing like a 75 re-issue I had that weighed a ton - headstock pics added

Markbass Mini CMD 121P with combo head 2 and padded cover?
https://www.thomann....md_121p_lm3.htm
Sorry but it's just a backup head I need - one with an aux input
This is serial number 00122, heavy relic Olympic white over sunburst. A previous owner had removed the permed marker serial number (naughty) but I've reinstated it.
Plays like a dream, currently strung with 45-105 rounds (elixir if I recall correctly). Would love to keep it but can't justify 2 Jazz's and my Shuker is the keeper
Price is £650 - not really looking for trades other than a lightweight amp with cash my way
Would prefer collection or meet up within an hour or so of West Yorkshire
Photos are from Marks website but shout if you want any more

5 knob config, Volume - Dingwall Switch - Bass - Lo Mid - Hi Mid
I also had series/parallel switches for each pickup installed at the same time, huge expansion of the original passive sound.

Looks sweet - who fitted it for you Kev ?

I have just sold the bass in question but i recently had a Darkglass Tone Capsule installed in an ABZ, sounded mega in that bass but quite coloured which is fine if that's what you're after.

I''m familiar with the u-retro and have it in my Shuker jazz. But the Darkglass sounds interesting, how have you guys wired it ?
Assuming music is your hobby, if you enjoy what you play, where you play and who you play with then really, what's more to be had.
And when someone comments that the band were good, remember that includes you
Thanks Joe - much appreciated. I figure we'll walk back to Northern Quarter for a beer or 3
Not fussed about seeing Public Enemy but would like to see Paul Heaton
If anyone is going to the Wednesday, Thursday or Friday gigs would you mind letting me know the various stage start times
Am gong on Saturday so the info would help me plan my day !
Thanks in advance

We have had very good results using Facebook. After identifying venues we have approached them via our Facebook profile to theirs, and we have picked up a lot of work now that way. Our page has photos, Soundcloud links (forget CDs...), set list etc.
We still get gigs through more traditional methods but we're finding that social media really works for us.

+1 to this method. I 'messenger' the venue and then write a post on their page to tell them I've messaged about gig opportunities. I've a template for the first message and the subsequent ones. You can normally obtain a response eventually even if it's a thanks but no thanks response. It's a numbers game so target as many as you can and keep a list/database/spreadsheet of all your comms
Of course the key to all this is building long term relationships with venues and getting regular bookings.
And always try to get the rebook date on the night
Our singer has lost her voice overnight and we're having to pull out of a gig tonight at The Drysalters near Elland Road
If anyone can fill the slot then give the guy a call on 07496 362267
We're a rock/pop/indie covers band so something similar would be welcomed. We'd agreed a normal pub rate
