[/quote] +1 to this method. I 'messenger' the venue and then write a post on their page to tell them I've messaged about gig opportunities. I've a template for the first message and the subsequent ones. You can normally obtain a response eventually even if it's a thanks but no thanks response. It's a numbers game so target as many as you can and keep a list/database/spreadsheet of all your comms Of course the key to all this is building long term relationships with venues and getting regular bookings. And always try to get the rebook date on the night

Our singer has lost her voice overnight and we're having to pull out of a gig tonight at The Drysalters near Elland Road If anyone can fill the slot then give the guy a call on 07496 362267 We're a rock/pop/indie covers band so something similar would be welcomed. We'd agreed a normal pub rate

I'm looking at a pj bass on fleabay but it's a collection only option Just wondered if any kind hearted soul who would consider helping me out if I win it and be able to pick it up, package up and send to me ? It's coming with a gig bag rather than a case Obviously I'd pay for all the costs etc 😄
