  1. Yea ill see if i can get one up by next week, im on my easter holidays then so should have time. Even though when theres time to be ahd nothing happens.
  2. Ive been playing with the behringer bsy-600 and expression pedal and evn though i have nothing to compare it with i thought id post my thoughts on it: First of all both the pedal and expression do feel a bit flimsy and not complelty solid but theyve held up to my big ungainly feet so far. Alos the expression pedal rocks a huge distance which makes a bit awkward to control while standing up especially when stanbding up. The amount of different sounds though is amazing. Some of them do sound slightly simialar but with the frequency knob and others, many sounds can be coaxed. You defiantly do need the epxression pedal to get the best results out of it. It doesnt trakc well when you try and cram more notes in but that was fine with me as you can let the expression pedal do most of the work. Another feature i really like is the direct out, so i can do my wobbles and also have an uneffected overdrive running which i like. One really annoying thing is, maybe its just mine, but its really difficult to turn on and off. I have to press it in different places to get this to happen. Maybe theres a knack to it. Im sure ill find more to add. Overall though i think its great for the price (81 euro including shipping to Ireland from thomann. Also a stereo lead for the expression pedal). I reckon i would still get a Moog lpf though as it justs seems more reliable and do the job it does so well.
  3. If the low pass filter hasnt gone soon ill probably take it. Would you post to Ireland. Couple of questions. 9 or 12v power supply? Do you reckon my behringer expression pedal would work with this?? it has CV?
  4. Ive got a behringer bsy-600 and expression pedal on the way. Ill make a bit of a review when i get it. Some youtube video's do make it sound very good though.

    Jazz

My Fender HW1 jaz bass. Theres still jazz bass's i want. A japenese one in a tobacco sunburst, rosewood neck with blocks. And an american in olympic white, with a tort pickguard and maple neck. If i can make the family i will be a happy bass player.
  6. Hmm i see. I love my fender jazz but most times i prefer the sound of modern bass's. My yammy just cuts through more and has such a great sound. Maybe an MXR blowtorch??
  7. Got an oc-2 and behringer bcy-600 on the way along with a digital mystikz ticket. Still wondering what a good fuzz would be for active bass's would be. I would like that really tight sound that you hear on alot of modern dubstep and drum n bass, but i guess that might be down to technique a lot of the time.
  8. Amazing stuff Pantherairsoft. Really love the sounds coming through and the drumming is spot on aswell. Will download it later.
  9. I always and still do, wanted an olympic whote with tort pickguard and maple neck jazz bass after seeing timmy C use one. I have a jazz bass but its red. I still want a Wal because of Justin in tool but that will be a long time happening. I still want both these bass's but am fairly happy with what i have right now.
  10. What valve did you use. Im thinking of changing the one in mine to see if i can get some more growl to it.
  11. Hi Would you post the Moog Mf101 to Ireland? Sam H
  12. Sorry but what does LFO stand, they seem to be used alot and i have no idea what they are.
  13. Oc-2 it is then, hopefully ill find someone to buy my octobass and ashdown drive +.
  14. Nearly have enough money saved for the LPF and with my birthday maybe ill have enough money to replace my octobass which i dont really like. Any suggestions for a nice octave pedal, maybe an oc-2, seems to be very popular with the Dub bassist.
  15. Some serious cool gear here. Feeling very jealous of that pedal board.
  16. Dont like his solo tone or even much of his solo playing, maybe becausei dont understand. I do however like him in weather report and enjoy listening to those albums were he's part of the group rather then a highlight.
  17. Are you talking about the parts were hell use sharpened notes on the way up and then the flattened versions on the way down or similiar. There both the smae notes. I reckon its just to get you used to seeing the same notes in all shapes and forms.
  18. What kind of compression do you guys use, ive been messing with my ashdown Drive+ and i can some good lows no woobs but i dont have a envelope filter yet or that Moog mp101 which im still saving for. I get alot of well, different sized gushes as i play with it. Anything thats really good, been thinking about the multi-comp but i was thinking something with a noise gate built in aswell that i could put in the rack would be really useful aswell. Also what kind of speakers are you using. I dont think my DIY ev606 will hold up well and thinking rationaly a cab would be the best thing over pedals except pedals are more fun. 12's, 10's, 15's. I intend to win the lotto soon so it should all be good.
  19. Does anyone by any chance have a layout for a woolly mammoth at all?
  20. Many thanks for all the info. At the moment i have a Ashdown drive +, EBS octaabss and a zvex fuzz factory on my table being made slowly. Im thinking saving for the moog LPF will give me the basic sound to work with at the moment. Or is their any other basic essentials i should look for??
  21. Been listening to some Miloopa and it is amazing. Those showcase video's of bond on youtube are amazing. And DanOwens for future reference would you say midi is essential for dubstep type musi9c. It seems both you and bond use midi, but john davis doesnt.
  22. Very cool. IS ebay at £225 the cheapest place for the LPF? only place i can find one is ebay. Also do any of your guys who play dubstep/electronic music on a bass have any recordings of your work. Ive been listening to alot of nerve and downloaded their 3 ep's and its brilliant but i wouldnt mind to hear other people incorperated the bass guitar as the bass of the tunes into songs.
  23. Well its my birthday in march so im hoping i may have money+family to get a low pass filter. But my god that MP-201 looks amazing. Im guessing you dont just have to connect moog pedals to it but can connect any pedal that requires an expression to it or can take a volume pedal and then control them individually? Too much stuff and a huge lack of money.
  24. So in terms of low pass filters what is their. From what ive read these are the bits of equitment that give you the wobbles which is what i really want to do. Ive only seen the moog low pass filter with the inbuilt envelope filter. is their any others out their that can be used with bass?
