  1. I can't. As someone educated in the sciences and experienced with crap notation systems, I think music notation is by far the worst. I also think it's about time music went metric.
  2. I asked this after looking up a tab for Thunderkiss 65 because I was having difficulty working out the bass behind the guitar solo, there was something a bit funky going on. First tab I found showed straight eigth root notes, second tab showed it the same as the chorus riff which it clearly isn't, third tab was close but definitely simplified quite a bit. Even on websites where you have to pay they're rarely correct. The Sabbath book I've got which has errors is by Hal Leonard
  3. Cemetery sex - Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein
  4. I know, I should just work stuff out myself but sometimes I'm just lazy or want to look up a section I can't quite hear. I can't remember the last time I found a tab that was right. I bought a Black Sabbath tab book and there's a few bits in that which are wrong.
  5. Are the guitarist and singer not hearing you because of where they are on stage? All that matters is whether the audience can hear you. I like the previous suggestion about giving it some Billy Sheehan on the electric bass guitar. I'd also add some fairly disgusting fuzz and a wah in to that as well.
  6. That sounds like man maths to me!
  7. That's exactly the setup I have but with a Le Bass instead of bassrig. It's simple and does all I need. I used to think I needed fuzz and od and flanger etc, etc but I've decided simple is the way forward. The one thing I might miss if I swap the le bass for a bassrig is the clean, dirty and blended channel options.
  8. I was hoping you'd say it's a sack of crap. Dammit, I might as well accept I'm going to buy one. Maybe it'll replace the Two Notes Le Bass
  9. Is it as good as the demo videos seem to suggest?
  10. For me it's a real easy choice. Super Vintage due to the super dirty SVT sound. I think that combined with a Stingray will be an amazing heavy metal tone.
  11. Eyes of the South - Down I'm going to have to listen to this now.
  12. Why would you leave Operation Ivy? All the members of that band were brilliant musicians. Maybe they weren't nice people.
  13. The greatest ever punk bassist was Matt Freeman but he didn't come along until the late 80s with Operation Ivy
  14. And you are entitled to have that opinion even though you're wrong 😎
  15. The admin for this website should revise the rules to include "Debating what is or is not punk will be punished with a kick in the spuds and instant ban"
  16. JJ was definitely better later on but in the late 70 and early 80's I'd say Simonon was better. Not that it really matters. The bass tone on Peaches was absolute filth though and it was one of those simple but absolutely brilliant bass lines.
  17. He's quite small. I saw him live with Them Crooked Vultures. Josh Homme makes most people look short so I didn't think he was short until the end of the Show Dave Grohl stood next to JPJ and he's definitely short.
