  1. I've driven a sunny. I believe it had half a horsepower, maybe less. A very reliable car but dreary is an understatement. I've also own a Trace 4x10 and it weighed more than a collapsed star. That doesn't sound like a good combination.
  2. I'm not sure whether you're joking or not. I think that's one of Nirvana's least interesting bass lines
  3. I think the classic Pro is a bit less bright than the Vintage Pro but I turn the tone knob down to about a quarter to lose a lot of that extra brightness.
  4. I actually went to the shop with the intention of buying a Gibson but just out of curiosity tried the Vintage Pro. It definitely sounded better to me, maybe not quite as nicely finished but overall, I preferred the Vintage Pro to the Gibson even ignoring the £1000 price difference. Mine is set up for tuning down to C with some DR DDT strings. It sounds like thunder. Put on a nice light overdrive and it sounds fantastic.
  5. So does Alice Coopers bassist, Chuch Garrick. According to the experts on the Thunderbird Facebook group, they cannot possibly be standard Epiphones and must be hand made specials which look like Epiphones because a non US built bass would disintegrate by the third song.
  6. Melvins are one of my favourites. Going Blind is a great one to play, so is Honey Bucket. Melvins definitely blur the line between grunge, sludge and stoner. I do enjoy a bit of stoner, I think there's some grunge influences in some Kyuss songs, Demon Cleaner has got a bit of grunge about it.
  7. I'd say alternative rock but then grunge was alternative rock anyway. I think that was the second bass line I learnt.
  8. That's a killer bass line. I don't know (or care) whether it's grunge but it's an excellent line and an excellent song
  9. Doesn't My Wave involve some weird tuning? Possibly EEBb? Great song though
  10. I grow mainly varieties of habanero which originate from the Amazon. If you bought your bass from Amazon it'll definitely be fine.
  11. I used to grow chillies in a South facing conservatory. My biggest problem was using all the fruit they produced. I did have to water them twice a day to just keep them alive and chillies don't like much water.
  12. I think Vulfpeck are terrible and RHCP are boring and I don't enjoy Jaco
  13. I don't know where you read that but it's wrong. It's well under 2000 at 70mph.
  14. Just play reggae on hot days. It'll be just like you're in Jamaica
  15. My point was that cruising 1600rpm in a car that redlines at 4500rpm is less relaxed than cruising at 1600rpm in a car that reclines at 8000rpm. That was the point about a high top speed being good for cruising at low speed. Also, it's not tiny. It's just further away than you think.
  16. You don't have to do the full 200mph but such a high top speed means it's barely ticking over at 70mph. I have got close to the top speed but on a runway, not a road.
