Bear in mind a fair few watchers are watching not as potential buyers but they may own something similar and want to see what yours goes for. I once had 200+ watchers on a bass that was priced quite reasonably (less than anything comparable on BC)... not one single bid!

We do quite a few GK pub gigs and though it's one of the other guys who set this up, it is pretty seamless when you've done a few.

What a coincidence. I watched an original band at the weekend (not local) and the guitarists alternated to bass... they were both obviously guitarists and it grated on me that neither were specifically a 'bassist'. The bass part lacked a bassists feel/taste and was played like a 2nd guitar. I personally thought the songs suffered because of it.

What a strange twist... I've just realised that he bought a Thumb bass off me last year! I have his address, phone number, email address and probably his bank details!

Be very wary if you see a good deal on one of these on FB marketplace, especially if you are going to buy remotely rather than in person. I'm lead to believe there's history behind an individual selling a JD Jr. and an ongoing case/investigation may be in place. This is simply a heads up for anyone who might be looking at this thread after spotting one on Facebook... be wary!

I was about to buy a Musicman bass off a guy called Ben Squire off of Facebook Marketplace. All was going well till we got to payment methods and I had alarm bells, so I Googled and traced the bass he was selling and eventually to this thread. I then went back to Ben and asked him if he was Simonsbass off BC.... Oh dear me it went down hill rapidly! Nothing has been edited from this message stream but this is how it went after I'd Googled him. Me - I've just done some Googling and I've found info on Basschat. Ben - What those nasty pasties ? Are you one of them ? Jog on mate Me - Nice. Got your number then. Ben - flip in dweeb Ben - Hi and troll someone else Me - LOL. You're tagged mate and folks are spreading the word. I couldn't/wouldn't gig just one of my cabs at a loud rock gig. BTW don't ditch the pick, everything has it's place and I can make a pick sound like fingerstyle and vice versa.

Do you have a pair of 2x10's and do you stack them horizontal or on their edge vertically?

Your kind of approaching it from an ill considered starting point. There is absolutely no guarantee that getting a big 15 is going to get you more bottom end than an alternative configuration. Please don't get hung up on the fact iy needs to be a 15" to be bassy. I gig in a LOUD 3 piece rock covers band (don't go through PA though drummer's kick and snare do) and my pair of TCRS210 cabs easily produce enough bottom end to be heard. The added bonus us that when I stack them vertically I have a driver at ear level so I can hear exactly what I'm doing.
