1.
Hey Ive never tried EBS gear….interesting! Thanks for the input. I’ve just bought Geoff’s Berg HS410, so im giving the modular neo setup some more thought. I can’t justify spending just under £100 more on ONE AE112 compared to the price I got on the HS410. So, Berg is out for me….I’ve got a great Berg here so I’ll have to check other 1x12 manufacturers. In addition, me and Geoff had a chat about weight and casters when I bought the HS410, and we both came to the conclusion that If I buy two Aguilar DB112s, I actually have more weight than one of my DB212s, and with no casters. They would also weigh more/the same as the HS410 which seems mental. Sure, they are more modular, which is brilliant, but I don’t see the point in my scenario on getting anymore Aguilar cabs! Just a waste when I have two DB212s and one is damn loud on its own. Two is literally chocolate thunder! So…something that isn’t Berg or Aguilar. And this time, it HAS to be neo and modular. I have plenty of ceramic cabs. Has anyone got any experience with the Traveller Series Mark Bass 1x12s and 2x10s? I picked one up once, and it truly was completely lightweight. They seem to sell quite well on here too. I don’t want to go for something like this if they aren’t considered good cabs…I’ve heard some reports that their cabs are not as good as their amps. As much as Schroeder has had problems recently, the 1212BMF and the 15+ L are VERY small and modular. Also, Barefaced Midgets and Double midgets are a possibility. If they can do what Schroeder does, and push a lot of power in a light package, with 2x12s, but take away the worry that Schroeder brings with it, then I might go for one. I’m also tempted by Epifani…despite me originally being put off them.
You should also look at the Tech Soundsystems / Tecamp cabs.
 2.
They are using exactly the same photos, how very odd.
The oddest thing is that they are using a pic that wasn't even in this thread but it is patently the same bass and set of pictures... this leads me to think that the eBay listing originates from AM1; who may well have had the sale fall through and then listed it on eBay! Who knows.
 3.
You should mark this "sold"
Possibly... but who is selling the identical item on eBay? Is it AM1, the person who bought it from AM1 or is it an eBay scam?
 4.
If we all form a line to post our respective wailings about Marcus taking time out, this thread will last till he comes back.....see?
Oh no it won't...
 5.
A 1000 plus seller with 100% feedback
I would have said 'hacked account' but they've sold similar stuff... help us out AM1.
 6.
this bass appears to be back on e bay starting at 99p, at least some of the pictures are identical Is this back on sale or is it a dodgy auction number: 190325497683
Yep! Defo a rabbit away somewhere.
 7. Noooooo! Where am I gonna buy all my quality gear from now. Au revoir mate, you will be sorely missed... Oh I forgot I'm seeing you tomorrow!
 8. I can't say how chuffed I am that you've clicked the bass AND got your refund but I have to say from my extensive experience with eBay and PayPal I'd be quite frankly stunned if you have scored in this way whilst the guy gets to keep his money! I would seriously have thought that PayPal/eBay would have taken the funds back from the seller but if it has worked out the way you say then that does mean a massive shift in PayPal/eBay policy. Right... off to sell some tat on eBay!
 9.
I remember these when they first came out and I'm sure they're a 34".
I agree. I liked the look of these when they came out and had one appeared locally I would have been interested... which makes me certain it is 34" as I'd have dismissed it had it been short scale (no offence to shorties ).
 10. Light you say... can you be 'precise' with this light?
 11.
John, Two pieces of advice; 1) Don't plug it in before eBay'ing it, its a tone monster and will probably leave you wanting more; 2) Take a big lad with you when you go to pick it up. There's none of your light weight neodyminium going on here
Big Lad... Oh did I forget to ask you Kev! I also forgot to add; I found a spare set of casters.
 12. Hey Mark mate, if no fecker is gonna put their hand in their pockets I'll take the whole lot; keep the isolation platform and flog the rest on eBay! Consider it sold mate. See you either tomorrow or over the weekend.
 13. At this rate I can tell I'm going to end up buying it aren't I?
 14. I'd like to talk about the proposed PA system Alex, 1 sub and a pair of mid/tops. How far are you off having a finished product and what is the price? We (the band) are in the process of looking at a new system and will likely as not be reaching some form of decision on passive v active in the near future. Cheers.
 15.
Rubbish! I'm not that predictable...
I saw you running outside with your camera as I typed my reply!
 16.
Okay, what's a TV Logo guys?
I see WoT viewing this thread as I go to reply, so I fear you will have a double posting! The logo was changed on the Fender basses to make them more visible and easily seen on the ever popular, new fangled invention 'TV'
 17. Just out of interest (one owld git with a fecked back/shoulder to another) what are you going to keep/use?
 18.
Warwickhunt look away !
I'll buy your lightest bass HJ... then you can afford to pay your chiropractor!
 19.
Guys, Monster sounding Rig for Sale....... I can honestly say that this SWR 750X gave a very good account of itself A/B'd against my DB750 (which it replaced) OK the DB was a bit better in terms of Pure sonic ability but live....... in the mix ? not sure there's be much in it ! The built in distortion and Octave effects are excellent (Distortion is very ODB3) The Head has a little bit of "Rack Rash" and one of the Control knobs is missing the centre cap, Make no mistake...... this Rig is LOUD as HELL !! Pre Fender SWR Boxes in VGC (Golliath mint & SOB a little bit of fuzz but otherwise spot on) The 410 especially has had hardly any use ! SOB comes with SWR soft cover You guys know what i'm like when i've decided to sell something....... I don't mess around !! The whole rig goes for £700 collected from Sunderland ATB Mark
Yep when Marky boy sells up he does it in style!
 20.
They have updated the jack plugs now - they no longer have that spring system on them because they were ripping the innards out of very expensive Taylor acoustic guitars. I'm guessing that it was the spring that was causing the issue for you, right? Also, I noticed a couple of people mentioned they didn't have their receipts for their cables. You'll probably find that if you contact the UK distributor they will replace the cable for you even without a receipt. There is only one UK distributor for Planet Waves, they're called Summerfield MI.
Twas indeed the springs causing an issue! May well check out the new version then.
 21. You know that Torque is cheap and those rumours ain't nice!
 22. Yeh Warwick have done some stuff for him; stryker/buzzard type thing and a Streamer among others. They got all excited about it over on the Warwick forum and there are various youtube clips and pics up.
 23.
Thanks for all the comments! They're really helpful oh and Warwickhunt my RS4 ways just under 9lbs
Well best you catch me with dosh in my pocket (just sold my Line 6 bass... ) and organise a price!
 24.
Someone buy this bass and relieve me of the unobtainium GAS I'm feeling.
I'll see what I can do for you Peter.
 25. I've shipped a few basses abroad, almost all thru-necks ( ) and I've no issues other than to say I would NOT do so if someone was paying by PayPal (don't want a 'claim back' made through no fault of mine). I have always ensured that 'where possible' the buyer has arranged and paid for the shipping and it has been insured for the full value. That way if anything happens in transit then the buyer has the onus placed upon them to make any claim for reimbursement. A couple of times I have had to do the courier organisation BUT I have made it a caveat that the buyer sends me an email stating that any claim that needs to be made will be to the best of my ability but I am not liable... that communicates to them you are not about to get stiffed by a spurious claim. On the positive side! Visit your local friendly cycle shop (or local halfords etc) and ask if they have any empty boxes. The boxes that cycles are delivered in are just the right size to contain a bass case (cut down to correct width very easily) and the shop should be glad to get rid as they have to pay someone to take the cardboard!
