1. I have half rounds on my three old j basses, and TI's on the 64 cs Jazz, even though they are fretted basses the half rounds don't seem to be making any more impressions than the TI flats.
2. Note how it has the .02 cap, very noticeable when played with the tone in the off position.Seems to only be on some 65's
3. I have had 3 54 to 56 p basses and found T I flats were great for me
4. Neck cavity rather strange, looks like they could not find the correct hole to put the bridge cover back on,check out the area around the adgustment screw
5. Yes the 56 has string through, the 59 .with the gold guard does not
6. Definately has not had a refret, and is original finish on body and neck.I have a pic of another one with similar wear on the last fret and second last(email me if you want a copy),this one goes up further. If you look at the wear on the neck it is around the G note and C note on the D and G string,I assume we had someone in the old days playing 1st and 5ths around there and playing high up the neck with the right hand.I have more pics with her"undressed' for any purchasers to view.
7. Hey Guys I have put the price in pounds on the original listing 7750 pounds, the marks on the fretboard up the top are from playing with your fingers right hand resting above the strings at the end of the board, not from playing with your left hand fingering the board.
8. 10.
It's way too new. Got anything from '58?
I have a 58:would like sell my 59,slab board, gold guard if thats any good.
11. The 56 P has had a Basschat offer but it is a little less than I can accept. BTW The 59 was only used at church on Sundays by a little old lady :-) it comes from a smoke free environment(cough wheez). It is on one of these occassions that the bass was abused(local clergy ??) Stairway to Heaven is not recommended playing on this bass!! The 62 in its heyday http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmMeqid_fmU
12. There are too many photos for me to upload here. For detailed photos email me direct, otherwise they can be seen where I have them consigned through a relatives site.Free shipping to the UK is not now an option as another guitar has been sold and her luggage quota is full. For added buyer protection/ security. you can purchase direct from the site. Here are the links http://www.greatguitars.com.au/1956.Fender...cision.Bass.htm http://www.greatguitars.com.au/1993.Ricken...1.mapleglow.htm http://www.greatguitars.com.au/Fender.Precision.59.htm http://www.greatguitars.com.au/Fender.Precision.1962.htm
13. I must say I am not very keen on sending a bass over to the UK in the hope of a purchaser turning up to buy it.BTW when I bought these basses I had to pay up front to the seller. I don't have a purchaser so it may never happen,I just get to play them a while longer :-)
14. Hi Thanks for that it has taken a long time to get these basses.I have enclosed a picture of me with my Fender 63 jazz bass(orig fiesta red,not for sale)If anyone thinks I am going to run off with money you have a picture for Interpol :-).
15. Hi Guys I have some other nice old original finish basses as well,Fender s'burst 58 P,63 Fiesta Red Jazz ,matching headstock and 64 s'burst that are not for sale. If you would like pictures just PM me your email address telling me what you want pics of. I have not put up pictures of the ones for sale simply because some prospective purchasers might prefer me not to. Again I have no problem sending them to private individuals.
16. Then again, maybe I have been out here too long as I do find it hilarious watching the English team pppp pl pl plaaaa 'play' cricket.

20. Hi I have replied to 2 PM's already with heaps of pics.Payment would be bank transfer before it leaves Aussie(delivery would be to Essex).I can supply my name, address ,phone # and references including 3 music shops that I know that would vouch for me.(I have known one of the owners for 40years,one for 20 and the other for about 7)First though we have to find a buyer that wants one of them
