1. I'm currently GASing a marcus miller jazz, in oly white - grr... why is all the money in the world running away from me!!! - again!
2.
I've got a 75 in lake placid blue, rosewood, matching head - a limited run from 2002/02. It's great, my main bass now. Wouldn't mind a natural/maple one too with the black blocks and binding. I have a Marcus Miller too, so, you could say i'd reccomend that type of Jazz.
bit of topic, but what do you think of the marcus miller? I'm thinking of getting one - anything I should change or to be wary of?
3.
I have turned up to play outdoors now and again and there is a full SVT rig that I can turn up loud. They have their moments!
I'm not an ampeg man.... they annoy me... though I do see why people like them...
4. I thinking of getting one of these... could you put EMG J-sets in, without changing the pre-amp? or would it be better to keep the pickups and change the pre to a John East or Aggy?
5. can we see photos of the roscoes, pretty please **flutters eye lids**
6.
Becasue Jim won't do endorsements or the back up required for touring
silly man, but I understand why.... grr... I hate those ampeg svt and 8x10, they really grate with me...
7.
When I toured we generally used what the promoter or management company provided. Unless you're very fussy, you can pretty much get an acceptable sound out of any amp so the expense of carrying your own backline just isn't worth it. Most top gigging bands like to get the same sound where ever they go and after 40 years of being the "ultimate", pro touring, "big stage" rig, the Ampeg SVT and 810 is in every hire company's inventory. Bergantino is just not on the map at that level.
I thought as much..... bloody ampeg... the thing is, I am that fussy... so thats all good
8. why do no famous/popular bands use berg gear? - it really annoys me....
9. Hartke LH500 or Markbass LMII second-hand, and a small 1x12 or possibly 2x10 cabinet
10. I'd love to have a maple neck for my VMJ fretless.... that would look most awesome!!
11. I want it, PM me too if your selling but not yet ^_^ ^_^ cos I'm low on cash
12. AE210 every time, they blow everything else away really punchy, will always cut through the mix, and its a tiny cab they are worth the extra money, cos you're got jim bergantino's engineering in it
13.
ae115
+1 an AE115 would be awesome, if had the same sort of box as the AE210 (maybe a little deeper though...)
14. What do you jim should build next???
15.
Here is my stack as promised!!
very nice!
16.
Guys.... An IP112 stack is top of my amp shopping list just now I've got to hear one along side a TC450 RS210/RS212
go for it, more the merrier and you won't be dissapointed!!! they sound so nice (almost as nice as my bergs.... )
17.
Just so that you know your family history, your 15 came from Ari originally. It had a 2x10 brother which went to Garbev.
thanks for letting me know, I wonder where if this is the 2x10, I doubt it - they have different knobs on the tweeter control
18. I wondered when you'd notice birdy, dad - you're getting slow with age...
19. If I had the money.... I'd be looking to have that off you! grr...
20.
I do love a bit of Berg... There's some really tasty rigs here!
well of course, they're berg rigs - they're the best
