1.
What's the point with those trainers? (Great piccy)
To stop his feet getting cold? So if he walks or something sharp it doesn't hurt?
2. I dunno if it was mentioned before, but how much was it in total?
3. I bought an Engl valve amp from a dude in London once who said he worked for a courier, it arrived with no box, and just a tiny piece of bubble wrap around it, as you would assume, most the valves were smashed to pieces! And the dude eventually got kicked off ebay, as apparantly he sold quite a few things that ended up getting smashed to pieces, including a £2k guitar! Wouldn't surprise me if this was him under a different name.
4. I love the sound of this thing, but I am looking to get a house deposit together so either this or my SWR has to go, and it seems no-one is interested in the SWR, so here is the markbass! Like I said, it sounds awesome, it has a few marks on it, but seems like a solid piece of kit, has some rack ears for it that someone adapted from rack ears for the mkII I believe, I am sure a few people on here have owned this so will be able to let you know how good it sounds! £270 shipped Will get some photo's later.
5. Sold him a P Bass, and the experience made me all warm inside, haha.
6.
Yeah but ... how do I know that the no name I'm trying is the same as the one you are recommending?
They are the same ones that loads of shops got offered at the same time around the UK, tend to come with a d'addario I think it was tag on them for the strings etc, they did P/J basses and Strats/Teles.
7. I have one of the no name P basses, they are good quality, but the point was more that people could go to one of the places that sells them to try, they used to be all over the place.
8. To tell the truth, all the shuker build threads here and the delays, lack of contact, him not doing what he said he would etc put me off ever buying Shuker unless it's one already built and in stock.
9. I wouldn't bother with SX, just get the no name basses you can find in places around the UK like bass centre.
10. I miss my old Warwick Dolphin Pro at times, I wouldn't pay more then £800/£900 for one though personally.
11. Look at Cort stuff, it really is awesome for the money.
12. I have a Cort GB334, I basically got it so I had a 4 string about a year ago when I got back into playing bass, used it for every practice and shows for a while, then got a Warwick and put it away (then a Tokai, then some Fenders etc etc haha), anyway, just got it back out again tonight and I really still love how it looks, and it plays fantastic! I actually have a SD preamp sitting around, I may put that in it, I had replaced the MM stock pickup with a Kent Armstrong, but just took it out after all this time as it didn't seem to make much of a difference. It looks kinda like yours, but has block inlays and is active (I guess yours wasn't?), and a different pickguard.
13. They do look awesome! Can't wait to see some more pictures of my ACG some time, if I ever have the cash again for a custom build I think RIM will win my business, I really do love how they look.
14. I have and use all, mainly due to what comes on basses, but Schaller are my preferred choice!
15. I play guitar and drums too, although I am getting rid of my drum stuff, I did have a mapex m birch kit and a bunch of other stuff, I still have my mapex babylonian black panther snare. As for guitar, I have a Peavey 6505, Marshall 1960B, PRS 20th Anniversary Custom 24 10 top birds in flight as my main guitar, then a bunch of others including Tokai USG100, Jackson DK2M, Ibanez SZ320, JR LP with EMG 81/85, errr a Washburn acoustic, and some other electrics I cannot remember at the moment, I've cut my stuff back a lot recently though. I have a big keyboard too, but I am rubbish on it, I'd give up all the others though to be good on Piano.
16. I sent them a message the other day saying...
Wow this guitar is grate. I never sin 1 lik it b4!
And he said....
Thankyou!!! If you are prepared to make an offer i might be able to com to an arrngement for you.
17. Yeah, maybe should have been ordered more in advance, but if usual delivery time is short then you may not bother.
18. Not for headless basses surely? They aren't really the norm.
19. Sold to Mr Pablo pending the usual.
20. The logo's on the headstock don't look like they have been put on too great either, you can see the outline.
21. I'm trying to stop myself buying musical gear, and also trying to get rid of loads.
