  1. Yes! I have it in the loop. Then, I have an IR in a parallel path, splitting the signal of the AL, one going without any more effects and one with an IR. It sounds really good.
  2. Thanks! I will
  3. I've been trying my Original with my HX Stomp lately. What I found is that with the valve on, it has some high end that I don't like very much. However, combined with a cab simulation or IR, it sounds pretty amazing. Just the clean channel sounds pretty good too. Really underrated pedal. And prices are going down.
  4. A little bit bass (between 12-1), a little bit of low-mid cut (11) and a little bit of mid (12-1). Comp at 9 (today, it's usually off) and drive at 7-8. Nothing extreme I think. But I have tried with no Drive, no eq and no comp and it's the same.
  5. It is very low. However, increasing the input it makes the amp to clip (and the rid light shows)
  6. After 3 years with my RM500 Evo, I'm still not sure how to properly set the Input gain. I usually add gain until the red light appears. Then I take some off. It clips a little bit from time to time, more often when I play the 5th string. The VU meter doesn't move away from the 10, but I just have to ignore it I guess. How do you guys set your RM?
  7. Even though I hated at first, I'd go with the Aguilar Fuzzistor. Or the Black Russian Big Muff
  8. My best, without any doubt, my HX Stomp. My Yamaha BB605 was a pretty cool purchase too.
  9. Hello guys I have a question regarding the Line Out of the HX Stomp. I am going ampless and I use an IEM. I had a full pedalboard before I switched to the HX Stomp. Besides, I bought a stereo jack>XLR adapter. However, in my last gig, the sound guy told me that this adapters are no good since you still to match impedances. What do you guys think?
  10. I'm pretty happy with my Ashdown RM112. Cheap and good.
  11. Nothing beats a good ABM 😍
  12. Nothing beats a good ABM 😍
  13. I have been trying different positions and I really like to have the preamp in the FX loop, then add an EQ block simulating an 8x10 (from Dr Labs) in path B, having path A for a clean signal. It sounds really good
  14. Thank you everyone for your answers. I see now that it is normal. Thanks! I know the HX can be configured to send a balanced signal. I even have a setero jack>XLR adapter. However, the sound guys I work with don't like that option and they always give a regular DI. That's why I bought the Radial, just in case something goes wrong. But I didn't know about the signal drop. Anyway, it works and now I understand why it happens
  15. Hello! I have recently bought a Passive DI, a Radial STage Bug SB-2 to combine with my HX Stomp. The thing is that I find that the volume (and signal) coming from the DI is much lower than the signal sent from the HX. Is that possible? Everything else is the same (preset, volume knob, bass...) Coming out from the HX, even when I set the Out to Instrument Level, it gives much more signal then when I plug it into the DI. I already checked the PAD in/out of the DI and that is not the problem. Is this normal? Thank you in advance
  16. I like this!! Mine would be pretty similar: Based upon Yamaha BB735 (and 734) -Olympic white with tortoise pickguard for my 734 and Metallic Orange with white pearl pickguard for my 735 (very similar to the 414 on the BB thread). -Reverse P pickups -Humbucker bridge pickup with a switch to make it single.
  17. Just curious, because I use the HX Stomp with my RM too. Do you plug your Helix in the input or in the FX Return of the amp? Do you use amp sims?
  18. I use the compressor when I use the amp with no pedals. It sounds really good with just a bit of drive and just a bit of compression.
  19. I own a Jack Casady, but just because I love the bass. The name didn't have anything to do with me buying the bass. Being signature doesn't really mean anything to me. Basses, amps, pedals... if they are great by its own, then I'll get one.
  20. They made that mistake in some Dr Green pedals... I hope it's not the case this time. I still have my Bearded Lady and using it live was difficult sometimes.
  21. I completely agree. But even with older pedals. Their OriginAL preamp has really few videos and it's an awesome preamp. They should really work on this.
  22. Just curious. do you know if there is much difference between the ABM600 and the ABM Dual VU? I think it's just the look and the place where it is built, but I don't know if there is any more difference. I've always liked the blue.
  23. Actually I was just thinkig the same. It's not much different from an ABM, I think the only difference is the Taurus input. Besides, I thought there was no comp nor sub-harmonics (which I'd prefer, because I don't use any of that in my amp) but it seems that the amp has both, but not they are not configurable, which I think it's worse. I cannot say that I wouldn't buy one, but for that amount of money, I'd probably get a Dual VU ABM. PS Maybe the valve drive is different. I'm not sure about that.
  24. And I admit that I like it more than I expected
  25. As long as you sound good. It's true that 99% of the audience doesn't notice when the bass has overdrive, fuzz or anything. But they care about the overall mix. These changes may suit the song more than just playing a dry signal of the bass.
