  1. Okay. It looks great but I couldn't make out the ash grain through the translucent finish ☺️👍
  2. Has this bass had a paint refinish at all?
  3. No hate here buddy. As a matter of fact I couldn't agree with you more about the value of these versus an actual Stingray as I've had several of each. I'm focusing on Warwicks these days but good luck with the sale 👍
  4. Any news on the spec on the Standard Series at this time?
  5. That's great to know thanks ☺️
  6. It happens buddy 👍
  7. Not the amber one that was in Bass Direct a few months back? I tried one in there that was bought and subsequently returned as the customer didn't like the preamp 🤔
  8. There’s currently an identical model on the ACG website that I keep staring at (serial number 046G).I find radiused fretboards on electric bass utterly pointless given that they're not played with bows so it's great to see a builder like Alan offer flat boards in that respect. Thanks Mr Fender 😂 Anyway I'm pleased you're enjoying yours. The fussy man that I am would prefer a natural finish but the blue does look good 👍
  9. I'm pretty sure the Elrick version has Bartolini pickups unlike this Cort model. Fine bass either way 👌
  10. And I definitely played it last year or 2022 sometime in The Gallery and indeed it was lovely.
  11. The case is lightweight as you say but what about the bass itself please?
  12. It's an SB315. I picked up a black one a few weeks ago and immediately swapped the stock preamp for a 2-band Glockenklang. It's my second one and I love it. And your one is from 1991.
  13. Hi Rob. I can't say I blame you in all honesty. Amazing creations they are ☺️
  14. Hi there again. I'm just curious to see if you ever sold your Sadowsky.
  15. Is this the same as the used one just popped up on Bass Direct's website? The grain looks very similar to me.
  16. Definitely not active/passive switchable via pulling on the volume pot?
  17. Would you believe it was 10:30 this morning I acquired a Japanese 1995 Bass Collection SB315 in unmarked condition that plays like a dream for £270? I couldn't walk away from that so for now I have a 5 string "jazz" bass. Appreciate the heads up regardless ☺️👍
  18. That one is a 60s 605 as opposed to the 70s 705 the same colour as this 704 for sale but thanks anyway 👍
  19. Thank you. Does it ever end though 😆
  20. Sorry what I should have specified was is if this was a Proto J 705(70s) I would have mauled it. Same colour scheme as this 4 string 704. The listing you quoted is for a 605(60s) but appreciate this all the same ☺️
  21. I would have pounced on this like a hungry lion had it been the 5 string version.
  22. Thanks buddy. So is the last knob a mid switch as you've stated previously or a tone control that works in both active and passive modes? The John East website claims it's the latter 👍
