  1. Amazing looking bass. It's almost worth it for the strap alone. I have one and it's the best strap I've ever bought, it eats my heavy Warwick Thumb 5 for breakfast πŸ˜†
  2. This is officially the first Z series Sire I've seen on the used market. Good luck with the sale 😎
  3. Great basses these. Fretboard radius however is flatter than the 14" quoted here. They're 23 5/8" or 600mm πŸ‘ Oh and yours is the later 1005J as shown by the 5 piece neck.
  4. Okay. It looks great but I couldn't make out the ash grain through the translucent finish β˜ΊοΈπŸ‘
  5. Has this bass had a paint refinish at all?
  6. No hate here buddy. As a matter of fact I couldn't agree with you more about the value of these versus an actual Stingray as I've had several of each. I'm focusing on Warwicks these days but good luck with the sale πŸ‘
  7. Any news on the spec on the Standard Series at this time?
  8. That's great to know thanks ☺️
  9. It happens buddy πŸ‘
  10. Not the amber one that was in Bass Direct a few months back? I tried one in there that was bought and subsequently returned as the customer didn't like the preamp πŸ€”
  11. There’s currently an identical model on the ACG website that I keep staring at (serial number 046G).I find radiused fretboards on electric bass utterly pointless given that they're not played with bows so it's great to see a builder like Alan offer flat boards in that respect. Thanks Mr Fender πŸ˜‚ Anyway I'm pleased you're enjoying yours. The fussy man that I am would prefer a natural finish but the blue does look good πŸ‘
  12. I'm pretty sure the Elrick version has Bartolini pickups unlike this Cort model. Fine bass either way πŸ‘Œ
  13. And I definitely played it last year or 2022 sometime in The Gallery and indeed it was lovely.
  14. It's an SB315. I picked up a black one a few weeks ago and immediately swapped the stock preamp for a 2-band Glockenklang. It's my second one and I love it. And your one is from 1991.
  15. Hi Rob. I can't say I blame you in all honesty. Amazing creations they are ☺️
  16. Hi there again. I'm just curious to see if you ever sold your Sadowsky.
  17. Is this the same as the used one just popped up on Bass Direct's website? The grain looks very similar to me.
  18. Definitely not active/passive switchable via pulling on the volume pot?
  19. Would you believe it was 10:30 this morning I acquired a Japanese 1995 Bass Collection SB315 in unmarked condition that plays like a dream for Β£270? I couldn't walk away from that so for now I have a 5 string "jazz" bass. Appreciate the heads up regardless β˜ΊοΈπŸ‘
  20. That one is a 60s 605 as opposed to the 70s 705 the same colour as this 704 for sale but thanks anyway πŸ‘
  21. Thank you. Does it ever end though πŸ˜†
  22. Sorry what I should have specified was is if this was a Proto J 705(70s) I would have mauled it. Same colour scheme as this 4 string 704. The listing you quoted is for a 605(60s) but appreciate this all the same ☺️
