i play the updated version of the heart-rock, the heart-rock II, with a 4x10 quattro and a 2x10 duo. the amp puts out 1000watts (not digital fart-watts but true transistor watts) into the 2,66 ohm of the cabs. it is a completly different animal than your ampeg svt-4 pro. it does not colour the sound of your bass very much, though it sounds not as true and uncoloured as the bass art. its VERY LOUD and always stays clean (if you want it to). it sounds very open, but always natural (not like a swr or ebs rig for example), it is extreme quick. if you push the bass-frequencies it sounds just huge, there is bass all over the place ... you can overdrive the gain-section, which sounds very good though there is no tube in this amp. it is not light (around 18kg), it is of the highest quality you can imagine. i like the look of it, also. when i got my heart-rock II i sold my aguilar db750 within a week and never looked back at it. i A/Bed it to a thunderfunk tf750a. the heart-rock is better in every aspect (though the thunderfunk ways only 11kg and is much easier to carry around). let me know if there is anything else you want to know.

I just got myself a wonderful new Fender Precision Deluxe in white with a rosewood fretboard. it is fitted with a black pickguard which is nice but i would like to put a tortoise or even anodized one on it. as far as i can see there are not yet any replacement parts for the new deluxe series. anyone got a clue? regards, sandmann

may i ask what amp/cabinets you use? the glockenklang preamp has a boost/cut of bass frequencies around 40hz. maybe your amp-system does not go down low enough? here you´ll find a nice little review/ad on the new dlx precision: New FenderAmerican Deluxe Precision some very nice sounds, i especially like the slap-tone... I personally own the new deluxe j-bass and cannot say enough good things about it. for me the quality is as good as sadowsky metro (which i own three of). sandmann

Fender Usa Precision '57 Re-issue Made In '83 Withdrawn
Sandmann replied to Bassman Sam's topic in Basses For Sale
Until I put it on here, I never thought it was anything but original but now understand some of the remarks I got when I first put up some photos of it a couple of months ago, didn't know what they were going on about then.
Still a good price for a fullerton-aera reissue, these basses are outstanding. best of luck with the sale! -
