I've had some problems with failing resin prints... turns out I had some damage to the FEP and a layer of (set) transparent resin between FEP and screen was stopping enough UV getting through. Have cleaned the vat (yukky job) and waiting for the IPA to evaporate before I change the FEP. Not as grim as your problem Rob!

It's worth considering how doing things that require mental and physical effort help keep you active and healthy. Swapping gig shoes for cosy slippers may not be the best idea - smaller social circle, fewer new experiences (don't undervalue novelty, even if it's just going to a different venue or meeting new bar staff, let alone learning new songs).

You seem to be digging in quite hard, I can hear the string hitting frets. What does it sound like directly into the amp with the gain low and pluvked more gently? If it sounds ok at lower output and gain then it's not a pickup issue. I suspect either the saddles have dropped making the action too low and the string too clise to the pickup OR there are loose/broken windings on the string.

Sound wise, it's impeccable. Loud, clear uncoloured and copes with a low B easily. Wiser ears than mine were split comparing it to the LFSYS Monza at a bass bash. It was decided it was slightly scooped in comparison. I've been gigging mine for three years. As Bass Direct told me, don't throw it in a van treat it with the same respect as an instrument. I did break some corners, they sent me free replacements in a more resilient plastic.

Possibly the manufacturer of a £160 pedal doesn't want to draw attention to the fact you can make one and sell it for £26 and still turn a profit? (I do appreciate the originals have r&d costs).

My brother has a 62 SG Junior. Fed up with the worn out 62 year old pots, he got me to replace them with cts ones. His view... I won't sell this, but I want to play it. Me? I was crapping myself...

Last couple of gigs we've done with a pair of Mackie tops, just for vocal and a bit of drums. Have had a lot of positive comments, told our gig on Saturday was the best we've ever sounded.

On Saturday did the second set with the five as I couldn't see the side dots on the P. Yesterday, the one song where the five would have been handy, the guitarist went straight into the intro. I've d-tuned on the hoof before but decided not to risk it, so I stayed up the octave.

It's the ones who stand in front of the drummer with either the lyrics or a video on their phone during a different song and expect the band to absorb it by some magical process.

After last night's cheering and singing along, today a huge room with a handful of people. Friends and family outnumbered the rest Set up near the tables rather than on the (magnificent) stage We were without our (mainly) rhythm guitarist so it was a bit odd as some cues missing and had to reallocate some intros etc. But we treated it as a gig rather than paid rehearsal and played pretty well. One silly mistake by me, had a pint of shandy in the first set, then a coffee in the break (to warm my hands up).
