    I went ahead and used the hollow bits to drill out the screws, then glued in two wooden plugs with two part epoxy. Need to mark up and drill for the new screws - and get new screws, they are 74mm below the head, just under 3"

    🙂 there's no way either of my headless basses are going! Need to think, but I might be interested in waving a few dollars at you... I might have to lose a bass if I do this though... Is it candy apple red or deep red? (doesn't look metallic in the pics) Do you have the bridge cover?

    My basses are like friends. Rediscovering the joy of making music completely changed my life for the better after a long hard time. People or basses, looks may influence the initial attraction, but that's not what makes for a happy union in the long term 🙂

    I just poke my legs through a couple of holes in the bottom of a large carrier bag, squirt in half a can of polyurethane foam gap filler and five minutes later I'm good to go!

    My TE 1110 combo plus Weston Thunder 1 would come to exactly £150 (excluding a jack lead and few quid of repairs). Very giggable.
