someone turns up with a song, we play it, suggestions come in, then we record it so we can remember what we all agreed on the time before for someone to change the arrangement without discussing it with the others sounds like a recipe for a bun fight to me, "what the fcuk are you doing? we didn't fcuking play it like that last week" sort of thing
I not sure if this questions been asked (5 pages in) but why doesn't the drummer use a 'proper kit' sounds like he's trying to get the same vibe from an electronic kit as an acoustic one, sometimes people can't see the wood for the trees
I believe The Jam's 'Modern World' had 'Don't Give a Damn' on the single version, to be honest it's far better to do that than have the bleep put in by radio stations, as in the case of American Idiot by Green Day,
I always avoid swear words when writing lyrics, always sounds rather childish when I try and put them in
on the B3 PEQ there are two sweepable EQ's per effect so it would be possible to do 6 PEQ effects, completely over the top though, I think the law of diminishing returns kicks
A Zoom B1on is a cheap way to stick your toe in the water, under £50, https://www.amazon.co.uk/Zoom-B1on-Bass-Effects-Pedal/dp/B00JLEHMG6 the same sims as its big brothers (the B3 and MS60B), trickier to adjust and a plastic case (though I've been using one at gigs for 2 years with no problems) I use the M comp with everything set in the middle, and there's all the other goodies on there as well, at the price it's unbeatable
I've noticed this, but why would you want to take them off and put them back on again? with any regularity anyway. Don't most strings wear where they rub the frets? I've always assumed that's why new strings rattle more
to be fair, when ever I've bought them through ebay they've always put the value at less than $10 so I've always been ok, this time I bought them direct to get the heavy set, still waiting for the package so I'm assuming they didn't do it this time, same firm though, bassstringsonline
where from, the UK? I've seen them for that price and a bit cheaper from the USA, depends on string thickness, colour etc. but there's always the risk of customs duty, the last set cost me £30 (wanted to try a heavy set 50-110) plus £13 duty and Post Office charges, first time it's happened though
this is true, but it's the same elixirs and any coated string I guess, doesn't effect the tone though, the coating keeps the finger sweat and dead skin out of the strings, which obviously isn't a problem at the pick end of things
fixed, I think they're ok, IMO, you're right about them looking cool though. for punk anyway, I've been using them for about 5 years, they're about right for me, I get a lot more comments about the colour of my strings than my playing
I use them, used to use elixirs, IMO they last as long but not as smooth, I pay about £30 for them (if I don't get stung by import duty) what can you get them for?
couple of interesting articles, well I thought so

one of the reasons I went for the G10, it has no belt sender unit, plugs into the guitar like the smoothhound, but also has rechargeable batteries (park it in the receiver and it charges up) and it's £25 cheaper

edit, the only disadvantage it has is that the power supply is a USB plug so can't be powered by a conventional power supply
