  1. Just the most romantic soul there is.
  2. That's a helluva lot of bass for three hundred quid and change. GLWTS.
  3. That "white" is just gorgeous, Brian. GLWTS.
  4. That’s wonderful, as is the currently out of reach bass. GLWTS
  5. 10 FEET!?!? That’s some nut! 🤣🤣🤣 GLWTS, it’s a lovely thing, all joking apart
  6. This is a great price for an excellent bass. The Contemporary series as a whole is nothing like the more visible Ignition basses. For a start, the neck is “floating” - I.e. there’s a gap beneath it, north of the neck pickup - which adds to the instrument’s resonance and authenticity, and also means you can use the proper Hofner strap. The sound is much fuller and somehow “richer” than the Ignition too, and the control plate is also authentic, with the “upside down “ bass and treble switches. Essentially, it’s a completely different instrument. GLWTS.
  7. Just sold Dunc a Barefaced One10 I traded from him earlier this year. As ever, the transaction was a delight from start to finish. Dunc’s a great BCer, a credit to the forum.
  8. I will do my utmost to make it. Shifts can be difficult sometimes.
  9. The €350 Brexit dividend right there.😢
  10. Might be quicker to list your irrational likes.
  11. I've just sold a Höfner gigbag to Jarrad, and the transaction was a delight from start to finish. Very happy, and very happy to recommend him to Basschatters who might be dealing with him in the future.
  12. That would be great, but we're talking places like Cheltenham if we go south, which is only tangentially Midlands. Then there's Warwick / Leamington Spa etc. Again, we're a bit on the western fringe. I realise that Nottingham, where we had the one I organised back in - 2021, was it? Or 2022. Anyway, it didn't suit everyone, by any means. Google says Meriden! Or Fenny Drayton. Not much help. Sorry.
  13. Or June 10 🤣
  14. I think the best idea would be for anyone who has a suggestion for a location - such as those above - should check out availability, cost, parking and interior facilities, e.g. available space, power supply, tea/coffee facilities, separate area for presentations, basic stage set-up (? - in very much ideal circs, I realise), and then post the results here - then we can organise a poll or choose by consensus. I suggest we aim for a date in the spring, late March/early April, but I'm not sure why. Maybe because it give us plenty of time to organise, advertise and generally get our sh*t together in good time. How's that?
  15. Definitely up for attending, but not in a position to organise this year, as I work variable shifts. Any takers?
  16. Or perhaps a custard cream. Very yummy anyway.
  17. That’s a bargain for a 1970s Fender. Is there a reason why you have redacted part of the serial number, which might be useful information to potential buyers? Not that I’m one, sadly. It looks a lovely thing, especially the way the finish has aged to a creamy custard. GLWTS anyway.
  18. Us "heads" called each other "man" all the time. Till we grew up.
