  1. Just in time! That hadn’t occurred to me!
  2. What a great idea! So great, I'm going to copy it immediately. Thanks.
  3. Just out of curiosity, why did you tape up the pickup? It certainly looks much better without, but I guess the reason was more sonic than visual?
  4. Do you mean the neck and the nut width are like a P? GLWTS
  5. That’s got to be the biggest battery compartment I’ve ever seen! Lovely playing. GLWTS
  6. But they're used... or "pre-loved"!
  7. Just seen the attached on PMT - apparently half-price, but is it actually a bargain? It's listed on the Ashdown site at the full price. I can't afford it at the moment, even at half-price, but maybe other BCers fancy jumping in?
  8. Gorgeous! I loved my SBMM Daphne Blue version, but this is real quality. Silly question: is the case short scale too? Or a standard one with more plush to fit the SS? GLWTS anyway, it won't be here long.
  9. Never mine 🤣 But I can vouch for the sheer quality of Jon’s work. Two strings too many for me, but whoever gets this will have a wonderful instrument to explore. GLWTS.
  10. I don't think the link to the original listing is working. GLWTS anyway. Useful piece of kit, but I too now practise through my desk. More convenient! (or perhaps we're just lazy buggers!)
  11. That switchable impedance is a great idea, I wonder why it didn't catch on? GLWTS anyway.
  12. Have just bought an Ashdown four-button footswitch from Ross - he's very easy to deal with and the item, which was a bargain, arrived really quickly and beautifully packed - I would recommend Ross to anyone on BC. Thanks, mate!
  13. Seems a bit over the top.
  14. Total bloody failure. Having swapped a travel bass for an NS Design Wav4 headless (figuring I could portray it as a like-for-like swap, given its advertised suitability for airline overhead lockers - not that I'm going anywhere 😂), I've been and gone and upgraded my studio monitors from PreSonus Eris 3.5 BTs (highly recommended) to full-on RCF Ayra Pro 6s, partly because I was intrigued at a suggestion they could also be used as FRFR cabs in a reasonably small space (rehearsal/pub gigs). Looking forward to trying them out, but shamefaced at my complete inability to stop buying, even over the "holiday". My appalling behaviour has been noted, apparently!
  15. i don't flatter myself I would have been up to replacing your good self, but I do like what I've heard and I wish they were more northerly-based! Hope you/they find someone up to your standard.
  16. I did - went for Latin and German instead, but my point stands - those internal pix are amazing!
  17. I have absolutely no need for this rig, but it's got to be one of the prettiest and best-preserved I've seen. GLWTS.
  18. Posting your pix on Imgur is fine, and the bass looks amazing, but perhaps you could include a tag/postit showing your Basschat handle and date for security, as per mods’ request?
  19. So bright, I gotta wear shades! 😎 Gorgeous!
