The pictures make the gold finish look slighlty more garish than it is. Someone PM'd me to say it was the Chav bassplayers dream! erm hope that doesn't put anyone off
I can't decide weather I love or hate the gold hardware. I'm sure it's gorgeous in person mind. Bump!
-
Need to shift her as running out of time for my Fretless Price now £975 plus courier. Fellow Chatters, Following two potential scams on E-Bay for my Limited Edition Ray I have decided not to relist it on there. I placed a reserve of £1,200 and it got to £1,051 which with courier would have been £1,091. I decided to offer it to the highest bidder for his final bid but his e-mails back to me were, shall we say, worrying! So here it is again, after some thinking I have decided to drop the price to £1040 and that includes next day UPS insured courier with full tracking service. Tradewise I am after a decent Fender Precision preferably with Maple neck and am happy to listen to any kind of sensible offers so if you have say an American P or even Japanese and are willing to make up the difference with cash lets talk. Would also consider Mexican P's with an obvious greater cash amount coming my way. I need to shift this to pay for a certain Fretless Fender I currently have on hold elsewhere on this forum so you will be helping two Bass chatters ;-) For my own reasons I will only ship to confirmed UK addresses. PM away guys...

E-Bay Dispute - URGENT Help Needed!!!!!!
bassatnight replied to bassatnight's topic in General Discussion
Gents, Happily the dispute has been closed, but I am now waiting for the guy to leave me negative feedback. It was mainly my fault for not being in when the Courier arrived to pick it up, although I did have a pre 12pm slot and he turned up at 3pm! I apologised to the buyer and offered to refund the £30 courier cost which I thought was the gentlemanly thing to do, I took a few days making the payment but did apologise. Oh well lesson learnt. It still seems harsh to open a dispute over me refunding the shipping costs as at the end of the day it was only a day later than we had agreed and the shipping cost him nothing. Cheers, steve. -
Not having much luck with ebay at the moment, are you! Echo the above. All sounds like you will get your money back. Appalling behaviour from PP though.
Your not wrong I must keep away from the bay, selling pricey basses seems racked with problems. I may well pull my Stingray from sale, as the guy winning the auction keeps mailing me asking very strange questions liek what Amp is in the bass, have I ever refitted the strings (on a 5 year old bass) will I accept a cash on collection despite me stating that its bank transfer or cheque.... Arrgghh!!! -
E-Bay Dispute - URGENT Help Needed!!!!!!

Cheers for the help guys, I have now found out that he admitting he has the bass but opened the dispute over the shipping cost! I missed the courier picking it up from me and because it was my fault offered to refund the shipping costs (which I forgot to do until yesterday) hopefully this will be the end of the matter but will keep you updated. Steev. -
Folks, I sold a bass for some £600 on E-bay about three weeks ago and have the delivery confirmation from the courier along with E-mails from the buyer stating that he is enjoying playing the bass (all sent via E-Bay mail) this morning I have recieved a dispute from Pay-Pal that the buyer has not recieved the item and have subsequently deducted the £600 from my account. I have mailed the guy via E-Bay and by E-mail, I am obviously very concerned as I can ill afford to loose £600. Anyone got any advice, its seems Pay-Pal are uncontactable and thier assistance with disputes seems vague and unhelpful?????? A worried Steve!!!

Folks, I am selling a bass on good old E-Bay, and have noticed that someone who appears a little dodgy has started bidding on my bass. He is a new user (signed up Friday - the day I posted the item) and has ignored my E-Mails thus far. His user name is also strange (not fair to reveal it) but needless to say it sounds dodgy and straight out of the scam book. I have stated in the advert that I won't accept bids from new users (long story) but despite this he continues to bid and his bidding is erratic to say the least he seems to make bids faster than is humanly possible or typeable!. I guess I am more concerned at him not replying to my E-mails. What do you think?

Bassists who don't play on their bands records?
bassatnight replied to MacDaddy's topic in General Discussion
John Taylor of Duran fame famously only played a bit part on the Powerstation project, I know that Guy Pratt played on some of it as did the producer of course. Also heard a rumour that he may not have played on some of the first Duran Duran album with a session player coming in. Steve Jones of the Pistols also played on most of the Bollocks album, according to Matlock. -
Just to let you know I e-mailed the seller for more pics and info two days ago and no reply. I think if it sounds too good to be true it usually is... In this modern world of Internet if you had a guitar you hadn't a clue about a quick google would give you an idea of price.

Newer Advert Available - PLEASE DELETE

Apparently I have upset some people on here, and should have stated this bass was once an Ex Demo, apologies for anyone 'dupped' - personally I didn't state it as frankly I am not sure what the difference is between second third or fourth hand as most basses are on here and straight from the shop as an ex-display model. So for those people it is an ex demo. To confirm there are no marks on it and its in fantastic condition (anyone interested is more than welcome to come see) I have bought and sold basses on here for yonks and have positive feedback from many on here and would never knowingly con anyone, I am starting to feel this forum is going to the dogs! -

Fellow BCer's After much thought I have decided that one of my 'dream-list' basses has to make way for a bass higher up the dream list ;-) Took me years to track one of these down but after a couple of weeks I have realised that its a High Quality Fretless I am really after, trying to cut back on the amount I have so one in one out rule applies. 2006 Musicman Limited Edition Black and Gold Stingray Comes with its own Hardcase in fetching green fur lined. No marks or blemishes and no wear to neck at all. Trade wise in preference: Pedulla Buzz Fretless x4 Stringer, Fender P Fretless x4, Stingray Fretless x4 and if anyone is feeling really generous Wal or Fedora Fretless. Would prefer lined but unlined considered also 4 stringer. Sale Price is a straight £1200 that includes fully insured shipping costs. I will only ship within UK & Ireland unless you want to meet up for a trade/sale. Steve. Ps. There are some pics on previous advert but once I can find the digi cams USB cable I will post some high quality ones!

Stuart Zender was Jamiroquai for me, he left and the bass lines took a back seat to Kays ego, anyone read Zenders article in Bass Magazine earlier this year? Quite the eye opener.
