Have 7 basses: Squier Jazz or Gretsch Junior Jet for open mic night (where other people can play my bass); Yamaha BB434 for 'proper' gigs, with PRS Kingfisher as backup; Aria Pro II & violin bass for home use only; Westone 1A Thunder retired after a hard gigging life

Maybe try a HPF (High Pass Filter) such as the Thumpinator/ MicroThumpinator, or similar other, to reduce subsonic & near subsonic signals going to the amp? http://sfxsound.com/microthumpinator/ *I have no affiliation to the makers of the Thumpinator etc.
