  1. Just bought a music stand from Adam, speedy delivery, well packaged and great communication, many thanks Adam, Tony
  2. I’ve found poly finishes to be quite resilient, it’s nitro finishes you have to be careful with, I had patches appear on one of my nitro jazzes and I don’t know where they came from, it could have been something in one of my cases or off something on my clothing
  3. I’m working on this today, it’s such a great Bassline, I’ve been dabbling with it for a while but hoping to nail it note for note this weekend
  4. I’ve just asked miss RB and she suggested, a lint clothes roller first to get anything like hairs and debris etc off , then a mix of comfort and water and spray it and let it dry, I wouldn’t use fabreeze as it has chemicals in it, this is just a suggestion 🙂
  5. Fingerboard dots were an option when I specified mine and I asked for none , but I’ve never seen one without side dots, that would be a bit taxing for my small brain 😄
  6. Yeah, Black with a bit of wear would look great 👍
  7. That’s a tough one, they both look good but I think the minty just has the edge ☝️
  8. That would have been a dealbreaker for me if I experienced that Ed , I played about 6 in PMT before I bought mine and they were all good , I’m surprised Sandberg sent them out like that , I’ve got an ebony board and it’s well smooth 🙂
  9. Cruising through Buckhurst Hill listening to this
  10. Love a bit of PE , I’d say the new album is some of their best work
  11. I think this was the thread Dave
  12. I remember that one Osiris, I very nearly bought that, I think I had just bought 2 jazzes or I would have, beautiful ebony fingerboard.
  13. My one is ash and it’s way lighter than my fender jazzes, and the Sandberg bodies are slightly smaller .
  14. I remember them well and I’ve heard them referred to as the slab pickguard jazz , but I wasn’t sure what the actual model was
  15. What about cutting a rough shape from an offcut , and that would give you an approximate idea of what it might weigh
  16. I can’t see any reason frank , I’ve got an ash/ ebony TT4 which I’m sure you’ve seen, they play very nicely , balance well and the necks are among the best I’ve played, you are also able to get a a really low action, which I like 🙂
  17. I’m a joiner and I’ve worked with teak, there’s lots of variations but in general it’s a very stable wood and used a lot for furniture making, it has a tight grain so it will rout and shape well, but depending on the density it can be heavy 🙂
  18. This one works, I just clicked on the word App👍
  19. I don’t think I’ve posted these before, a couple of classics from Sugar Minott and anyone who used to listen to Rodigan in the 80s will recognise this one, it’s the album mix, it was the theme tune to his show , nice version at 3.36
  20. Just made a purchase from Jim, quick postage, well packaged, great communication, and a pleasure to deal with, I would highly recommend, thanks Tony 👍
  21. Thanks for this , Mark is a superb teacher , I’ve used many of his theory videos , for £2.99 it’s worth a look.
  22. Imo, if it’s ok and set to the right height I would leave it, I’ve only ever changed a nut once , I bought a jazz and the end at the G string was broken off, I gave it a gentle tap with a small piece of shaped wood and it came out easily for me to replace it, luckily it wasn’t glued in but I know sometimes they are glued in 🙂
