On a blues theme, I was listening to this last night

She calls it a PITA, having basses in every room, why do you need so many? you can only play one 😁

Exactly Al, I’ve got friends who spend their money on fishing, cars, computers, all different things, because that’s their passion, and why not. Not so many years ago I was struggling to build my business and pay mortgages, and I couldn’t afford to buy the basses I wanted, now I’m in a better position, I’m making up for it 😁, I call it retail therapy , miss RB calls it something else 😂

I don’t think you can have a bass that is too good for you, if it’s something you enjoy and you can afford it and it brings you pleasure, then why not own nice instruments , I’m sure there’s people out there that can play them better than you and I tegs, but it wouldn’t stop me buying what I want 🙂

I really liked my 414 , it played and sounded great, but as you probably remember Al it had a problem with the neck , so I sold it to someone who was going to work on it, I’m hoping this one is Ok 🙂

I’m supposed to be picking up another jazz the weekend but the seller is not very responsive, so I put a bid in at £304 on the 1024 a day or so ago, but I didn’t expect to win it at that

I’m not encouraging you to spend money am I 😂, they are a small bullnose plane , handy for rebates, it looks like it’s in its original box

Steinberger basses are fairly light, I think they are around the 7.5 lb weight

Nothing wrong with that SumOne, I do it all day 😁, that’s a great version, concrete jungle is among my favourite tracks, not the easiest to play, great bassline 👍

I’m not 100% sure but didn’t the 1997 only have string through body , otherwise they are a great bass and that’s a good price
