  1. Their shop isn’t far from me either
  2. Even the case is in great condition, yeah C width 44mm
  3. Pretty pricey but a really nice 66 P listed yesterday, haven’t seen many in this condition https://reverb.com/uk/item/66852950-1966-fender-precision-bass-vintage-original
  4. I’ve never seen them in 5 , think I paid £10 or less for mine at the time
  5. The adagio flats are really good strings for the price, I’ve had a set on one of my jazzes for about 7 or 8 years, they are not bright flats and they are still sounding good
  6. Really sorry to hear of your health , lovely basses, wishing you good luck 🙂
  7. Cruising through Walthamstow listening to this
  8. If I only had the one precision I would have changed them back to the labella’s , but because I’ve got a few it’s nice to have different sounding ones, I’m definitely leaving them on , the more I play it the more I like them
  9. Back on track and I’m fitting a set on to one of my jazzes later, I shall report back, do they mellow with time like other flats
  10. Came across this instrumental today, nice tune
  11. Err think it might have been me
  12. not guilty 😁
  13. Edited just in case I get any private messages 😁
  14. Haven’t tried that yet, I’ll give it a go later 👍
  15. Rubbing the strings with Vaseline will also work, a Sean Hurley tip
  16. Yeah I found this too, I play with a fairly light touch anyway but moving closer to the neck made them sound pretty good
  17. I’ve started a new thread, just in case creeper wanted to close his for sale one
  18. I finally got around to fitting a set of these to one of my precision’s that had labella LTF’s on, first impressions are they feel like the same tension which is nice as most of my basses have the labella’s, they don’t feel as smooth but nothing really noticeable like rounds which I don’t like, sound wise they seem to have a lot of mids especially the E and A compared to the D and G, but definitely not lacking in the lows , for what I play I’ve rolled the tone knob right down and the mids come through nicely , I’ve got another set now to try on one of my jazzes, overall they are really cool
  19. Yeah I found that too , he does get some nice basses and a few I would have bought but not much flexibility on the price
  20. Not sure if it’s money laundering just wishful thinking hoping someone takes a liking to it
  21. Welcome Colin
  22. Lovely, how does it sound on active
  23. Naoto Tada who I follow put this up a while back, great playing
  24. Hi all, I think you all know I play mainly reggae and dub, but I’m really enjoying simple grooves especially on my precision’s with flats for that thumpy muted sound , I’ve watched a lot of videos especially Sean Hurley and what really makes the basslines flow is the ghost notes, I’ve been practicing this a lot and I’m getting there slowly, can anyone recommend any tips and videos to check out, found this one yesterday by Ivan which is quite good and I’ve been working on this for a while
