3.
Still not a good enough reason to keep the "Jamster" on the forum.
Agreed!
 4. With a rig and bases like that, plus your other half looking like she does, you should be banned from this site immediately!
 5. Wow! These are rare as hen's teeth! Beautiful looking instrument too.. Good luck with the sale
 6.
Welcome Wow that is a beauty.. Peter
+1
 7. It's probably true that almost all producers and engineers will compress a bass signal when recording it or when mixing it, so if it makes sense to use compression then, why not at at other times too...?
 8. Beautiful example and, if you haven't done so already, I would recommend posting it up on the Walbassesnaturally forum on Yahoo Groups as well. Am happy to do that for you if like? Good luck with the sale!
 9.
I think you're probably in the majority. There's definitely a fatter sound to be had by raising the action.
+1

 11. If you can find one, the DBX MC6 is an absolutely brilliant unit but it's neither a footpedal or a rack unit..
 12.
Hello! I need an all round bass for recording which does rock, nu metal all the way down to gentler indie/ folkie stuff - maybe this is too much to ask for but what do people think would be better out of the Yamaha BB415 and the Warwick Rockbass Corvette for these purposes? Many thanks in advance
They're very different basses having played them both and owned the BB615 (active version of 415).. In particular, the neck width and string spacing is very different, so I think you would need to take those things into account when making a decision of this sort.. Personally, I prefered the Yamaha but that's because of the wider neck and string spacing. You might try them out and feel the exact opposite, but that's what makes this so subjective, as we all have very different tastes.. Good luck with it!
 13. That's a really interesting looking bass! I like the mix of modern styling with the retro look of the woods....
 14.
So I'm getting a 6-string fretless and this one is up on the block. Created by Rick Turner who is one of the great innovators of electric bass, this bass has an amazingly huge piezo sound and very versatile magnetic pickups. Very playable and imo one of the most underrated basses in the industry. The list price is over 2400 pounds, though. In light of the market and the fact that I've found something I would like to buy (in addition to the fretless six) I'm asking 680 pounds shipped to UK. The bass is in Finland, and is available for noodling around for those who happen to be around here somewhere. The bass is in near mint condition, the only wear on it is shown on the pic - there's some extremely light scuffing on the back of the bass.
That's a very cool looking bass! Good luck with the sale...
