    Pretty much this ^^^^^^^^. From what I remember, from readings before the internet was born - the lads in black started out a pub rock band, living what would later be named the 'punk' lifestyle, in other words - mid 1970s dropouts. Hugh and JJ had a squat or crappy flat that was near (or above) their local off license, that was managed by Jet (who was older, had drums and a van). This B side says a lot about their early days. 👍 Hugh: 'Now you know why nobody came to see us two years ago' 😄

    It's probably a bit like packing in a girl / being packed in by a girl. Sometimes folks tell the truth, other times they don't. Sometimes they might regret it. Sometimes they might be sorry in the long run. I was once packed in by a girl because I was 'a bit boring'. She was clearly wrong, or deranged, but I bear the SWB no ill will... and it was like, 40 years ago... 😬

    One of my hi-fi speaker cones has cat damage (as if the cat thought that the speaker had disrespected the cat in some way), but it still sounds fine. 👍

    Used to cover it in a band many moons ago 👍... I'm leaving it for somebody else though, because I don't have any new clips ready yet. That Incubus song you did was driving me (and the Mrs) mad all day yesterday!

    When I was at skool, all the kids wore these black nylon baggies with patch pockets on the sides. If you were daft enough to carry a box of matches in a pocket, it wouldn't be long before an older boy would knee you in the thigh - simultaneously giving you a 'dead leg' and third degree burns from your box of matches exploding. It was f***ing hilarious... 😬

    Oh, I haven't got one ready either, so here's one of my experiments... it's the verse of a song... really easy to play... Or more like - I recorded it at 80 BPM then played it back at 104. 😃

    That's ^^^^^ exactly what I was thinking. I have one bass that I tend to play in a rather 'spunky' fashion, and for popping, just the pickguard on or off makes quite a difference for getting under the strings. So a ramp near the neck wouldn't work... Though I definitely do plan to try a ramp on another bass. Thanks for putting this thread up. 👍
