  1. Boss LMB-3 - Bass Limiter/Enhancer. Hardly used at all, and in excellent condition as I bought an HX Stomp, so this LMB-3 has been in my cupboard for the last 6 months. The LMB-3 gives you control over your bass guitar’s dynamic range using a limiter effect and an enhancer circuit. Comes with it’s original box. Uses a 9v battery or a power supply (neither is included) £40 including postage in the UK.
  2. Reviving an old thread in case anyone has any up-to-date opinions or information on the ROR “Expressiv” MIDI bass. ? https://www.rorguitars.com/products/expressiv-midi-bass
  3. The “4 plastic rests” on top are actually covers - underneath are 4 screws that you undo if you want to remove the amplifier part of the combo. You can lever them off carefully with a thin-bladed screwdriver , or similar, to access the screws. Good luck with the sale -it’s a brilliant combo (I have the 7215 SMC which is similar)
  4. Only 15 of the patches in the HX Stomp , out of the box, are for bass..... and ALL of the DIR patches have been set up with Guitar amps and cabinets..... so the first thing I have done is to replace every one of the amps and cabs in the DIR patches with Bass amps and cabs. Then I can start to audition them and see whether any of them can be adapted for bass. Note that I am no expert and any other approaches that anyone else has will be gratefully received !
  5. VERSION: HX Stomp 2.70 TITLE: Tip - Numbering your patches DESCRIPTION: If you don't like the format of showing the letters in the banks of patches - 28A, 28B, 28C etc. , you can show numbers instead.... IN DETAIL: Click :- File - Preferences - Pre-set numbering format and just change it to 000-125 Very simple tip, I know - but hopefully it will help somebody ....
  6. I think that’s a great idea to have a separate thread - I was going to start it, with my question - but as I am quite new to the forum I didn’t like to do it in case it was bad form..🙂
  7. I have started to mess around with my Stomp - I like it.... perhaps there are some more experienced people than me who could answer a couple of questions: What is the significance of the order that you put the blocks in ? Should the amp and cab be at the end of the chain ? Thanks very much !
  8. I bought a GT-1B about a month ago.... so I foolishly thought that I didn’t need a Stomp....... do you honestly think THAT stopped me buying one ? Of course not - I got the discounted deal from PMT Music and my Stomp arrived today....
  9. I would like to buy this. Please send me a message with payment details.
  10. I bought stuff from there back in the day (including a TE combo which I still have) as it was easy to travel to Wapping from where I worked. I saw Geezer Butler in there once trying out a couple of amps.
  11. Booked - I am really looking forward to that !
  12. I have the 7215SMC, and the manual (which covers your combo as well) is pretty clear, as you say .... it seems crazy that they would put extension sockets on the back of yours - and then tell you not to use them !!
  13. My theory is that a kid who starts at 4 yrs old and reaches a high standard by 12 years old, is the same as a guy that starts at 20 and reaches a high standard by 60......... both of them have spent double their starting age in years learning the instrument. I started bass when I was 40.... so 19 years later I am bound to be still rubbish at playing it !! On the other hand I might be talking complete drivel.....
  14. Polyphonic Octave Pedal with Monophonic Octaver and Built-In TonePrint Technology . Mint condition - used for a short while at home, but I have now bought a multi-effects pedal, so I am selling this.
  15. Mint condition - used just a few times at home, but I have now bought a multi-effects pedal so I am selling this. No Velcro on the bottom. It's a steal at £100 posted, so no offers please !!
  16. I am in a band with 2 other guys in their late 50's - I am 59 (the drummer is a bit younger, although he has only been with us about 5 years) We formed the band 18 years ago and named it OGMAN..... at the time, it was an acronym for Old Gits Making A Noise.... That was 18 years ago... !! Should we re-name the band FOGMAN ?? You are never too old !!
  17. I used a Yamaha TG100 sound module for many years - it is small and neat and you may find one secondhand. That will still require wiring.... a wall wart, a midi cable and a headphone cable - so you are not wires-free..... I imagine that you chose the Hammer 88 because of the weighted keys, which are definitely required for serious piano students, but the lack of on-board sounds is a real downer. Could you consider selling p/x your keyboard for something like a Yamaha P-45 which I think is a very similar action ? Best of luck, whatever you decide.
  18. I started playing bass 20 years ago.... 2 years later I had a custom 5-string made with mahogany body wings, AAA grade quilted maple, ebony fingerboard, mother-of-pearl dots, Bartolini pups with 18v pre-amp, gold hardware.... it is absolutely mint as I played it a couple of times but decided I didn't like 5-strings. It cost me £2500 back in 2000... It's been played maybe 10 times in the last 18 years and it just sits in my room looking nice. I can't find a good reason to sell it.... maybe I will play 5-string one day....
  19. Collection ONLY from Beaconsfield, near Junction 2 of M40 I don't have a gig bag, or a box, so unfortunately no postage or couriers - sorry. 30" scale.... 20 frets.... V-V-T knobs. Hardly used - I bought it last November to try short-scale - but after a while I decided that it's not for me , so I am sticking with my Fender Jaguar 34" scale. The bass is in excellent condition, as you can see...... If you want to try short-scale, this will suit you nicely.
  20. I might do a swap if you have a pedal of similar value in MINT condition.....
