1. Just for info, EB no longer have stock of original style MM scratchplates but their templates are used by pickguard heaven in the US.
2. Cheers Bolo that's a great idea.
3. Anyone know where I can pick up a stingray scratchplate it's for the old truss rod configuration, which I think was pre 90s.
4. Get well soon Howard!
5. Thanks a lot lads I really appreciate that you bought the album and I'm over it that you like it. We are beginning to see some nice reviews and getting quite a bit of airplay. We have an album launch set up in Glasgow if any of you guys are local. And cheers on the artwork I'm more of a motion graphics person so it's nice to do some print, though a bit scary typos and all that jazz!
6. I dunno if posting pics of fakers is contentious! So delete if I'm on thin ice! This is my retrovibe bought from a basschater. Dave from retrovibe sent me a black bridge. I sourced some new tuners and had bassdoc make a new black pickguard and blank TRC. Switched out the pups for a set made by Alan at catswhiskers and he added more coil(?) so I could get a warmer tone. Similar to my old 80s Ray. It sounds great and the actual bass is of a decent quality.
7.
Any idea when the CDs themselves will be available?
Hi EAD The CDs are at the manufacturers now. Though it's taking them a little bit longer than expected. We will have them by the 18th or 19th next week and will be posted to the pledgers that day. The official release is the 8th of July.
8. Just picked up a Parker Tomahawk have to say couldn't be happier. Didn't need an acoustic but I really love this. Surprisingly loud and awesome!
9.
Stevie, got the download and just loving it. Congratulations on a great album. I can't stop playing it. I love the whole vibe of it. Superb playing all round. I can hear some Yes influence on it, right up my street. Well done that man, sorry, that band.
Thanks so much Sam really happy you like the album. The feedback so far has been great. Some of the guys are big Yes fans, I purchased a Rickie and a plectrum just to keep them happy!
10. The Massive Improve'lence!
11. Bought some strings off Matt they arrived quickly and are splendid. Great to deal with!
12. Thanks again ead we are about to release another video for Pledgers and are working on the packaging so all go at Ganz towers!
13. Hi Rich we decided to focus the site on the campaign as we were a bit worried about not reaching our target. We've sold quite a few CDs over the years but haven't exactly harnessed the power of modern communication. It turned out we reached our target quite quickly. So it might be an idea to open the site up again. We were looking to do a redesign so it seemed like a good idea. The band have been going in one form or another for over 20 years which us nuts! I think you can only pledge through Pledge Music though. Thanks Nigel we've spent a lot of time trying to get things to sound right.
14. Hi Folks thanks a lot for the taking the time to listen and the kind words much appreciated!
15.
Exciting this ain't it?
Lol it is for us we are the slowest band on the planet! The Pledge thing has been great for getting us moving!
16. Thanks a lot Sam I really appreciate it. We are just arranging the mastering now and finalising the artwork!
17. Hi chaps thanks for all the positive feedback! And Oops thanks for the pledge I really appreciate it. I hope you like the album when you get hold of it, we've put a lot of work into it and are all proud of it. Thanks again!
18. Cheers for the Feedback Rich, we need to do a few more vids for the pledgers so I'll keep your points in mind mate. Alright Oops very very kind of you. Our website is currently being used just to showcase the Pledge campaign here is the link http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/abelganz which tells you a bit about the new album, we have Jerry Donahue from Fairport Convention guesting on one track which is awesome. But there are loads of great musicians even, pedal steel players, flugelhorns even a brass band
19. Thanks for the kind words lads it's been a looooong time in the making! It's a great bass the Stingray packs a wallop, I love it.
20. Hi Everyone my band, Abel Ganz are about to release a new album. We are running a pledge campaign and are at over 100% at the moment which we are over the moon about. I put together this video as a preview to one of the tracks 'Unconditional' the whole tune clocks in at over 14 minutes, this is the intro section. For anyone that's interested I played a 77 Stingray with a clean signal going to an RBI and a another clean signal going to an RPM and the engineer reamped it in the studio! I hope you like it and I hope this is the right forum! https://www.youtube....h?v=dXxtqIgsYpk
21.
Oh I see! I have a Schaller 2000 4 string bridge on one of my basses...really great device with excellent tone and resonance. Sorry it doesn't work for you
It looks great just to small!
22. The ferrules are big musicman style anchor bolts on the side of the bridge. The hipshot B Style looks like 4.25 inches.
23. The current mm style bridge is 10.5 cm and the schaller 9.6 so a centimetre too short. I'd be looking for a bridge to cover 10.5. Potentially get away with a couple of millimetres here and there.
