Bought this from TomJbass on here just last month and although it's a stellar jazz it's just that tad heavy for me - it's just over 9.5lbs (i played an 11lbs jazz for 17 years) ever since i fell of my bike and did my shoulder, though it's well balanced, after 2 hours it's starting to pull on my upper back - seems to have got worse with age. So sadly going to let some younger buck or doe(?) have the pleasure - that's the bad for me here's the good. Apart from looking absolutely stunning...What a neck! well done Mr Clayton on your custom shape - so ergonomic, and the gloss feels like glass - played a very sweaty gig on Saturday and a very wet festival the week before and had zero issues with sticking. Glides - frets are great too - dont feel a thing. BUT by far the best thing are these 60s custom shop pickups - noiseless and full of oomph - with a nordy mute and just the neck pup, it's Jamerson central - the bridge is more quiet, but is crystal, i did make the bridge pup a bit further from the strings to fit my taste as was too barky for me as was, you could raise for more bite. Together though neck full and bridge 60% is by far the best sounding and feeling jazz i've had. Pictured here with tort pick, comes with original antique white pearl guard. Strap locks and gotoh butterbean tuners (original not with original purchase) - There is one small ding (pictured) but has been looked after since new by tom. Have done set up, oiled neck and strung with D'Addario flats with great low action. No buzzes just great articulate notes. All case candy too. If this was 8lbs it would be the one for me - the plan is to copy as much as poss on my lighter jazz (pups, tuners, etc) also have another lighter bass inbound - so grab a bargain - just seen Fender have put these up again to £2539! Price inc postage to UK only - comes in case. Can knock off a few quid for pic up. Feel free if you want to come to Clitheroe to have a bash. sorry no trades Can be heard on several videos from this guy from Saturday

I’ve put a mint green on now like it but might go back to tort or anodised gold

First rehearsal last night. Band commented on how full it sounded.

Just got this from @Tomjbass (cheers bud, good guy) the 1967 Jazz is my favourite jazz - Adam Yauch’s stripped J is my absolute fave. Second to that is Sherwood Green or a gassed off Lake placid Blue to Ocean Turquoise- lollipop tuners, block inlays…so when the Adam Clayton came out, I was looked and thought yeah looks great but for some daft reason signature basses seemed too fanboy. also new too expensive and I’m not a U2 or Adam Clayton fan in particular. But I kept looking at Tom’s ad, and thought it might be perfect for what I’m doing. At approximately 9.5lb a bit heavier than the player 2 next to it but not much. I had the player 2 as a back up the the P bass I’m reluctantly selling - and just had a full set up on it. Luthier ran glue under the frets as a couple frets were dead and a full fret level and dress now it plays brill- but I’m now afraid it’s not going to get played The reason being - did a set up to my taste, oiled board, stuck a tort guard on and been playing it all weekend. The neck has a great silky urethane and a custom AC shape, quite a hard maple and bit neck divey, the frets feel really worn in and rounded edges. So great to play for hours. The best thing though, are the pickups, superb range of tones, if the player 2 had those pickups would be perfect. The heck soloed with birds mute us pure Jameson vibes, and a pick with bridge and 50% neck is brilliant- the time I need for my band. So when my P goes, I’ll be sad but ok going forward with this Jazz. Cheers Tom.

i've had the previous model for abour 5/6 years and it's been a rock - the only annoying feature is the DI/Tuner out being underneath at back - annoys me each gig - good to see that stuff on top now - if they could make one with the MB compressor then it'd be perfect - great amps - bought the extension took it to Newcastle City Hall and it was way too much said the engineer- sold the cab - just been using the combo - light and loud - all you need

Incredibly reluctant sale - but honestly, could do with cash at mo, but if it doesnt go it's a sign and i'll regret this - my dream P - John Deaconesque 1972 that was originally LPB has been stripped back and the seal is like the silkiest feel ever - it plays like a dream - sounds incredible - has been modded to house EMG active pickup but put back to original pups - it's alder body so very light (8ish lbs) and super resonant - i often forget i'm unplugged jamming at home - this thing just plays itself - with B nut width of 41mm and proper rosewood board - the frets are worn down but it makes it so smooth - just had deluxe set up at Doghouse Phil's workshop with brand new GHS pressurewounds - a few dings here and there but for a 53 year old bass not that many have pictured biggest - comes with 3 scratchplates- black, red tort and original 72 white that's aged see pics -it's actually slightly a tad darker wood than in pics - the sticker on back of headstock is removable no problems, but thought it looked cool Priced to sell at £2200,- that's the price and you're getting a stellar bass is my bottom line (it's less than what i paid and work/ strings ive put into it) - so no offers pls no trades as have cheaper replacement - I have a double box i can send it in or for £30 extra can throw in a case I'd rather you come to Clitheroe or within an hour to play it and fall in love with it (i feel a bit sick writing this) but postage to UK will have to include insurance so prob £50 again If i've forgotten anything or you want to come see it - or have questions please contact me some videos of varying sound quality of me playing this live. The Leeds Brudenell sound best. The cavern ones have bad quality audio

Picked this up as noodle bass/back up but since got new 34" noodle bass back up - so this would make great mod platform, or at home noodle bass or great for beginner/intermediate as 32" Scale and super sating neck - and no fret sprout - was really nicely surprised on the QC on this compared to Classic Vibe etc as i'd heard horror stories about Affinity - seems in 2025 they have got their act together - I've but medium scale chrome flatwounds on this - which has made it a tubby thump monster - have the zingy new rounds it came with It's basically new so save a few quid and get nice plate with it Pick up Clitheroe or can post in original Squier box for £10 -or happy to meet up nearish Clitheroe on road

Thanks - the SGT tone without the IR was exactly what I was after. But hearing the NUX IR 810 Ampeg and Aguilar presets sound great. Also the drive seems subtle
