Back for sale after timewaster messed me about - reason for return, i didn't mention the 3/1000th of an inch off the frets when levelled and crowned - a newbie that didnt know why fret jobs are done - was worried why it was done on a new guitar - so i explain why and luthier also offered to talk to him- kinda like taking a car back to the showroom as you'd included top spec instead of factory spec - anyways you people on here will appreciate a lovely neck finish - i think he just didnt know what he wants - good luck getting a cheaper bass with lovely fret ends - ah well we live and learn. For sale lovely birch green Fender player 2 i bought early this year and have recently been using this or P bass to see what fits what i'm doing and the P bass has won - for that middy growl. Have bought a Squire CV Jag as back up - so now this faces being an occasional bass and it's a great player, so should be someones to use. Made in Mexico these are now really good little basses. Great QC Had luthier sort the frets, which he levelled , crowned (they were flat from factory!) and ran glue under each to make sure they pinged and bevelled off the slightly rough edges, basically your getting a Plex job but done by the hands of someone with 40 years experience. So now with the rolled edge finger board, satin finish, it is great to play. Dark rosewood board, with maple neck, the body colour looks even better IRL. Weighs about 8.5lb but balances great. So lightweight and versatile. Strung with new Ernie Ball Super Slinky 40-100 - very nice action. Very useable pickups. Comfortable bridge for palm muting. Priced to sell - collect from Clitheroe or meet up or can post to UK in box for £20 - if i post there's no returns - it's a lovely bass and sure you'll be happy unless you're not all there like last buyer

This is my brand new replacement SGT-DI from Ampeg as first unit had minor fault but parts were taking so long they sent a new unit. it’s just got too many bells and whistles for me and don’t need all the cab sims etc. I’m a simple player, too many choices overwhelms but having a SVT and B15 in one box is great. Also that driven tube sound is fab. poss trade for top end compressor/di - Cali etc

Bought as back up. Had luthier do a fret level - has run glue under frets so all frets “ping” and the edges of frets have been rounded off. Plays great with rounded board edges, sounds fab but just sat in a bag at mo. So really should be played. Fine a few gigs with it - set up with GHS pressurewounds The colour is very nice - 👌 poss trade for Jack Cassady or semi hollow but prefer long scale can box and ship at buyers expense- happy to organise or come meet near Clitheroe

I play over the pup - just never happened before. So occasionally I do with fingers. Tape over now - all good

Exactly what my guitarist said

Bought to cover 3 gigs whilst my SGT- DI was getting fixed. Can use tone print amp to update the compressor and drive. The Nathan East compressor is very good. Haven’t really gone through all the different ones you can download to pedal - the drives are bit too much for my taste and not really that savvy in making your own tone prints but it’s got loads Very versatile- either upload via computer with mini usb connection or via phone. I’m in Apple so I did factory reset of pedal so I could start fresh. Anyway priced to sell will throw in postage or come collect for £10 off

Back from having guitar tech mate look at it. all earths were ok - couple of connections he didn’t like so resoldered - which has sorted the low end break up - but still making noise only when touching poles others have had same problem and said nail varnish or electrical tape. I’m going down the Joe Dart route and tape it.
-
Taking it to mr fixer. He thinks the base plate isn’t earthed properly but that’s a guess from pics. Will know tomorrow night and report back

Can’t see any loose wires but the bottom part of the pickup is making a grounding noise when touched but not the top bit. I’m getting some low end break up when played if i touch the white wire from pickup to volume I get the earth sound appreciate any tips. Have to say electrics are not my strong point IMG_3118.mov

Bought from geoff90guitar from here - I've had a fret level, and had the edges rounded off (though Reverend claim a plex process, the ends were still bit rough and not to the exacting specs of my luthier pal) also replaced the nut with a new bone nut - and set up with TI flats - so spent a bit of it so just asking for what i paid and put into it but still huge saving so price set to sell - it's just not for me and have just bought a lovely P off here (i'm just traditional it seems) Poss Trade: Pelham blue Jack Casady or Vintera Mustang or similar See small body ding in pics Big, deep and punchy with excellent clarity is the calling card of the Mercalli. The innovative passive pickups have that vintage warmth, while the five-piece neck and high mass bridge deliver modern punch and sustain! Just had full set up and fret level with fret edges smoothed off and brand new bone nut. TI flats on it too with low action but no buzzing - small ding pictured Very ergonomic to play and only 8lb in weight so very easy in the shoulder SPECS BODY Korina Solidbody PICKUPS Thick Brick Bridge, Split Brick Neck BRIDGE String-thru-body or Top-load, 3/4" spacing NECK 5-Piece Maple/Walnut, Satin Amber Finish SCALE 34" NECK PROFILE Medium Oval FINGERBOARD Roasted Maple or Rosewood, 12" Radius FRETS 21 - 0.110"W x 0.050"H TRUSS ROD Dual Action, Headstock Access TUNERS Hipshot Ultralight, 1/2" Dia.
