3. Thanks Fuzzy (Daz) for taking the time to drive out 80 miles in total and charged me only a tenner for fuel to meet me halfway with the cab, great condition, sounds great too,and we had a damn good chat.Top bloke and would recommend him as a seller(Or buyer, whatever) to anyone, thanks again,Mike, Mikhay77.
4. Thanks then to fuzzy and merton, tried the 4x8 sat on top of my 1048h and my ah500 12 runnin em both tonight, sounds f***ing awesome, punchy as fook, and clear as a bell,so thanks again and another bump for your awesome combo for sale.
5. Hi all, just bought a trace 4x8 to go with my 1048h so my Ashdown ABM 410h cab has to go.Not to be mistaken for the cheaper version. This is UK built.Excellent big clean sound and handles the lows brilliantly.Very ampeg in look due to its black basket weave front, also slotted port right at the bottom, adjustable horn,600watts,900 watts programmable, not too heavy but easy to move due to casters fitted, some marks on the tolex but 8/10,has pealed a little right at the bottom but retouched in.,I can courier or deliver if not too far for costs.,cant believe this hasnt sold, these were over 500 quid
6. Thanks for the trace 4x8.Cant believe no one has snapped up the combo 1048h cab with a 300watt head and valve blend, dual comp all bells and whistles for 180 quid, and a great guy to deal with, thanks Daz,good luck with the sale
7.
I wanted lighter gear as I am older than you and you can carry Markbass through into the hallaway in one hand. Great for moving around but I thought to the cost of the sound. I was disappointed with my Markbass rig after using Trace. I went the whole hog and bought the 2x10 Marbass combo plus 2x10 cab all brand new. Couldn't wait for the stage. Changed guitars on the night, precision-musicman-violin bass, it just didnt have the middle punch. Perhaps it was me. Different gig, still twiddled. Couldnt wait to get back to Trace. Lost a lot of money. Suggest you get second hand Markbass just in case. --Thats only me though. Good luck.
+1,did the MB thing, needless to say back with trace, mind you they are light though.Ps there the same as my very first trace cabs I bought new!

11. Dont know if anyone can help.I have a 1999 ah500 12 unfortunately no footswitch(original being a 5 way)Got a new bfc 4 way controller and needless to say it wont work.Emailed trace and they did reply but no help. All they sent back was a wiring schematic for a 90s 2 way guitar amp switch!!!!!!! If anyone has one if they could email me some internal pics or if anyone knows were I could get hold of any schematics.I seem to have looked everywhere.Hopefully some one has an original switch somewhere. Many thanks for any info
12. Just finished an active jazz project,it now has a bartolini bass, treble, switchable midsweep vol and pick up blend.2x9v batteries and 2 other 9v battery sized boxes for the pre amp.All nicely buried under the lower part of the scratch plate, low hz emgs so no need to line the compartment.Dead silent but wow what a sound through an amp.Anything will fit if you got a router,ha ha.
13. Well, totally unconnected,I got a sb700 and banged 2 emgs in it and a active circuit.Best thing I ever did(bass wise).Arias are made very well.I had a warwick thumb for 15 years or so and this is a combo definately worth a punt.Hope we dont all bid on it.Ha ha.
14.
The fact that you played through a Hartke that actually works astounds me.
Ha ha +1 Bought a hartke 4x10 combo for convenient small gigs, stopped working after a month(no sound),took it back for repair, the shop lent me another, that didnt last one gig(no sound again),got mine back from repair lasted another month sounded like the speakers were all blown, they swapped it for another new one which sounded great but had lost faith and sold it a couple of months later,(anyone in lincoln will know, the big pink music shop,no longer there)oh yeh the point being thats why you use high end gear.Had MB plus other gear always go back to trace, had 4 trace rigs in 20 years of playin and never had so much as a blown fuse.

17. Best way I find on most truss rod adjustments>On the E string hold down the string on the 1st and say 14th fret and then check the gap around the 7th fret between string and fret board,if a large gap you would need to tighten the truss rod to straighten the neck to get an approx 0.5mm gap,if no gap then do the other way. Then adjust your saddles down to get a super low action etc. Finally intonation, use a tuner to check the strings for tune at open and at 12th fret,if at the 12th it is sharp then move the saddle forward, retune and recheck, opposite for flat I think they are the right directions but I was gigging till 2 this morning,if u wanna b really good with intonation check it at the 17th fret too,on each ie on the tuned open E string then on the 17th check using A if that makes sense, dont forget to retune the open note after each adjustment, hope this makes some sense.
