Ibanez RS924 Great vintage Ibanez from 1981. It plays active as well passive. These are highly regarded, and with a reason. These basses are of a very high quality and sound great. Pics: As you can see, the bass has a lot of usermarks/small damages. Nothing serious though. There's some fret wear, but the neck is straight and just plays fine. Hardware and electronics works as they should (pots may need a little cleaning). The top nut has been cut a little too deep, so you might want to replace it. I used pieces of paper to make the slots higher. The bass appears to be all original, except for the screw of the battery cavity. A regular screw has been put in there by the previous owner. Not the nicest solution I think. This beauty weighs 5kg. New rotosound 45-105 strings are fitted. No case or bag is included. Looking for £450 The bass is located in the netherlands, though I'm happy to ship within Europe at buyers risk. The neck will be removed from the body to make it safer to ship (plus its a lot cheaper). This ad may be withdrawn if my USA Music Man sub sells first.

Just checked. It weighs about 3.98 kilo's on my kitchen scale with the chrome covers mounted. So it will even weigh a little less without the covers.

I've also had a blonde white a few years ago. These really are good basses. The Seymour Duncan pickup is definitely a useful upgrade in my experience. I've found the bass with stock pickup less musical. Like I mentioned, I've owned a 71 fender Tele too. This Squier just seals the deal in the same territory, at a fraction of the price.

The shuffle continues. The next bass to move is my Squier classic vibe precision. This bass has been upgraded with a Seymour Duncan basslines scpb-2 pickup (don't have the original pickup), ferrules for through body stringing, and chrome covers. The former owner also put a Fender decal on it. There are a few dings and other user marks to be found, but this bass looks pretty clean overall. Everything works as it should and the neck is straight. The only remark is that the input seems to lose contact sometimes when moving the lead chord. Maybe a better quality lead may fix it, or otherwise it shouldn't be a huge problem to solve I guess. This single coil P sounds great. I have owned an original Fender 71 telecaster bass, and this Squier sounds very similar to the vintage Fender. Though maybe the squier is a bit more throaty. I think these basses especially sound great when played with a pick. Fairly new rotosound 45-105 strings are fitted. It crossed my mind, but I would have to call in a luthier to make that happen. So that makes it way more expensive than buying a used active one. Those aren't that rare, so won't take a long wait:). But to be honest, I don't need it at the moment... I like the musicman sounds, but it's not a first choice when playing with the band.

USA Music Man sub Pretty burgundy Music Man Sub. This is from the old USA made sub series. These are a great value for a reasonable price. This is the passive version. This bass plays and sounds great. Though it's passive, it's sound is still unmistakingly Stingray. A little bit more decent maybe. Of course the bass is used, so it has a few small damages. Nothing serious though. All functions like it should, though the pots are a bit scratchy. They might benefit from a bit of cleaning. I bought this bass thinking it was active (didn't know about the passive ones), as a cheaper option for a 2eq Stingray. So the passive version is not exactly what I'm after. This is a great sounding bass, though I happen to like the exessive active Stingray tones more when it comes down to that type of humbucker sound. New rotosound 45-105 strings have been fitted. No case or bag included. I'll include a set of flatwounds that I have lying around. I think they're still usable. Asking £475 - -> last pricedrop: Now £375 / €420 The sub is located in the Netherlands, but I am happy to ship at buyers risk and expense.

Really tempted to buy a Kawai like this. There is also one for sale (in the Netherlands) with a maple body, though I like the looks of this one better. As usual, I should sell some stuff first..

Maybe, though there is a little room for negotiation mostly🙃 For now I'm happy that I haven't sold it. Both are great pedals but I like the qtron better now (beside the huge footprint).
