  1. Hmmm - I just have it noted as a 250B, but am not sure if it has a name.
  2. There’s something about that which says Rickenbacker…
  3. I (think) I have 6 of them on basses, plus (I think) 3 in my parts box.
  4. I knew it was going to be a TE! 🙂
  5. I'd have a Roland synthy one, or maybe a vintage Ric thru-neck copy, but otherwise I tend to be a bit lukewarm towards Ibbys.
  6. It looks quite a nice Kramer, though with some small issues and it's fretless; I'd say the price seems a bit high. I've got an interesting variation on these - they did a limited run where they set someone loose with a hacksaw at the factory...
  7. I saw that - costs would ramp up by the time it's come from Japan. As an aside, I have an "Electric Bass" TRC, though it doesn't say "Zen-On" on it.
  8. Ampeg SVP Pro Rackmount Bass Guitar Preamp £450 BIN https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/275783769435 "Its working fine, but needs a new input jack socket fitting. The cable got pulled in the wrong direction at a gig by accident, hence listed for parts/not working, but as faults go, it's really not a big one to sort."
  9. The details say "No returns accepted." - I'm not surprised!
  10. Maybe a wee bit to pricey for me...
  11. I've bought a couple of things from Ash in the past without issues, BTW.
  12. The Bristol Guitar Show is coming up soon. At the recent Northampton one there were a couple of tables for folks to take things along to sell...
  13. That's a good deal; shame I don't need another project, but I'm sure someone will grab it!
  14. My '78 and '88 have push-pull pots. 🙂
  15. Gotta pay for the Fezza and the missus...
  16. Every time I see a de-fretted bass I think "that needs a refret".
  17. Not a chance in hell...
  18. Mind you, it looks a positive bargain next to the £20k asking price for a real Ric CS model from our friends at Essex. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/185771683307 (Note: that is not Chris Squire's actual one!)
  19. Unfortunately the owner has sunk a lot of money into it and thinks it "owes him" that back. It needs some remedial work (look at the action) and note that there's not a shot of the rear of the headstock; I offered him £150 for it a while back.
  20. Good luck taking one of those as cabin baggage! 🙂
  21. It's a real Ric - not welcome in Rickenfakers!
  22. They are really very good basses and I agree regarding the pice (I have a 1 and a 1A). Now, that Mighty Mite would've been something - it wasn't the Peter Cook model was it?
