    We used to make fun of Jedson back in the 70s; it'd be worth up to £50 as a curio, but not as a player.

    There are some commercial brands which assemble basses from off-the-shelf parts. Recently I nearly bought a Peter Cook Mighty Mite P-bass - he made them in the 70s/80s(?) and one I saw had a Mighty Mite logo.

    Ah yes, forgot to mention switch cleaner - squirty cans avalable from Maplin (also squirty cans of air, which are handy for blowing out dust & detritus).
