1. Grace and Danger from John Martyn. John Giblin plays so tasteful and so beautiful on that album.
2. That's a shame, a bit too heavy for me.
3. Can you please tell me what it wheighs?
4. Just started with a Billy Joel Tribute Band. Three rehearsals and yesterday evening our first concert and it has been an amazing pleasure playing all these great basslines.
5. Quick google search https://usa.yamaha.com/products/musical_instruments/guitars_basses/el_basses/bb_2017/specs.html#product-tabs and https://uk.yamaha.com/en/products/musical_instruments/guitars_basses/el_basses/bb/specs.html#product-tabs Neck width is the same on both basses. Thickness at 1st fret and 12th fret: BB424 22mm 25mm BB734A 21mm 23mm
6. Hi, Do you know the weight of the bass and from what year it is? Do you ship to the Netherlands and what would that do to the price? MGB
7. Played at a wedding many many years ago. The groom was in a wheelchair. All was going well and we play our rock&roll medley including a Dutch song which has a chorus going "hey get off that roof, I'm not gonna warn you again". We get a lot of weird/angry looks from the audience, during our break we hear that the groom had fallen off a roof and was partially paralysed because of that.
8. Fantastic and very kind gesture. Definitely interested.
9. Nice one. And a lot of bass for the price. Here you can see I like them too, I now have four Yamaha's. http://basschat.co.u...ost__p__3284199

11. Fender 50's Roadworn TTS Don't know what it is but it has an allparts neck, a mexican P-pickup, unknown lightweight body with carpaint on it and anonymous hardware. Neck is really great so maybe I will try to find a good body and a different pickup and see what that brings.
12. My Yamaha BB1024 Vintage White.
13. And then last week another second hand buy. BB414 Black Sparkle, a lot of bass for € 150,- including a case.
14. Then came an offer I couldn't refuse when a shop had a massive discount on their Yamaha's. BB1024 TBS
15. Then this one came, second hand. BB415 Orange Sparkle
16. Bought my first Yamaha new last year. BB1024 Vintage White
17. Hey The Greek, Thank you so much, I think I got them. Went over to the first link you send and I think they are LaBella 760FX (Extra Light .039 .056 .077 .096) = Almost Red Orange Silk Colour kinda looks the same I think (picture from the internet and no daylight here anymore to really compare) but the string gauges also are the same so I think it must be them. Never expected this to sort itself out so quickly. Once again thank you very much. MGB
18. I have a question. Installed some flats on one of my basses today and they sound absolutely great. Problem is I don't know which brand they are. They came on a bass I bought second hand long time ago and first thing I did was remove them. I'm older and wiser now and I would like to experiment with flats. So... does anybody know which brand uses an orange/red winding at the headstock part of the string? At the ball-end there's no colour at all. I hope somebody can help. MGB
19. And the built quality is amazing. In over ten years I never adjusted the truss rod and nothing ever crackled (electronics) and all the knobs, tuning pegs and screws remained tight as when I first bought it.
20. Ooh that hurts a bit too see this one. I'm the original owner. Best bass I ever had, played it for over ten years and never had gas for any other bass. It sounds good for any kind of music and reacts so well to changes in playing style. Only reason I sold it is because I have a seriously bad back and it was just too heavy for me. Saw this bass at the Frankfurter Messe, played one note (really just one) and thought this one is special. They allowed me to take it over to the Glockenklang stand to try it out on the amp I was then using and I was floored. Station-Music agreed to put the bass on hold for me, drove home that night and the next morning I put my two Lakland USA five strings up for sale to fund the purchase. Didn't regret it a single day. The one who buys this one will be a lucky guy.
